Haven't seen it this cheap anywhere else before so a really good deal for a MoC title.

No i haven't, sorry. I love MoC releases and i really dig Silent Cinema and love re-discovering that era of the film so i'm sure this will be decent. :)

this is one of the first great sci-fi films with amazing special effects with the help of animator Oskar Fischinger...also, MoC titles are generally for cinephiles and fans of film history - those that appreciate silent film

I paid £11 for it on release and haven't even watched it yet, so a little peeved it has dropped by almost a fiver since! but still, heat from me and if you had sense you'd get this! obviously comes with a warning - those with no patience for anything before 1950 should not buy this film, or any other early Fritz Lang for that matter (including Metropolis)

For me it's still "La Voyage dans la lune" [A Trip to the Moon] from 1902 by Georges Méliès. I have the 2012 Blu-ray release from Flicker Alley (USA) and the newly re-discovered hand-coloured version is just beyond breathtaking. :)

There is a documentary on the disc form 2011 called: The Extraordinary Voyage and it tells the amazing story of how the hand coloured version was re-discovered and then the battle of restoration.

If you haven't seen it i'd highly recommend it. :)
