Going in July and staying 2 nights at the Travel Lodge near Alton towers I got for £9.00 a night when that offer was on. If this Alton Towers deal is on in July and you can use this voucher for that, that would be great. :)
#6
If it's like they did last year - you need to collect 7 different tokens out if the Sun and then choose the date range you'd like your ticket to be valid for. They send tickets for a specific day in the date range.

Goes right through from 28th March to 1st Nov/.

Details here for last year http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/fun/competitions/promotions/article829181.ece

Went on the last deal, (£34.50 for a family day and free return) but to be honest I don't know if I'll bother with the return trip. It seems VERY chavy there now and the staff are sooooooo slllloooooooow with ride changeovers, I know that they have to follow H&S but on the tractor ride?!? Was taking the old guy ages to change riders and there was a long queue of people wanting to ride and loads of tractors with very unimpressed riders waiting to disembark!! Was a bit of a joke really, I'd say that this is a reasonable price as unless you get lucky you might only get a few rides in.

Imagine the queues.

Imagine the queues.

i go on a tuesday/wednesday outside school holidays 2 weeks into term time and longest i have ever had to queue for AT of TP is 20 mins max, generally if you get there when park opens you can walk on most rides for 2-3 hours before the queing starts
#12
they giv u free tickets for one specific date- sold for a fair bit on eBay as well.

#20

#21
a good deal, but the queues........
#22
Ive been trying to find some more info on the Sun website but cant find any :?
is it the same as last year when you have to collect a certain amount of tokens then send off for the tickets for the day that you want them?
any help will be appreciated
#23
It seems great in theory and heat added for the heads up, but to be given just one date is a tad narrow shame it's not say within a 5 day window.
#24
hot great deal i can walk only 10 mins away even though ive been 100s of time.
#25
Its exactly the same as last year where you pick dates , then they send you 2 tickets for a day in the band you choose.

Its a great deal, and if you dont want the tickets they send you, ebay them for £20-30, simple.

So the price for a few papers makes it a stonker of a deal.

Here's how to get your FREE pair of tickets to the Alton Towers Resort, worth £72!

Five steps to a successful application

STEP ONE: Collect SEVEN differently numbered tokens from the ten that we'll be printing in The Sun. A starter token was printed on Saturday February 28. Applications without the correct number of tokens will be void.

STEP TWO: Complete all sections of the application form after reading the offer's terms and conditions. You MUST choose 5 date bands from the 11 provided, in your order of preference, in the spaces provided on the ticket application form.

Applications that do not have the 5 bands indicated in order of preference will be processed last.

We will of course do our utmost to allocate tickets from your preferred band.

NOTE: YOUR TICKETS WILL BE VALID FOR ONE SPECIFIC DAY FROM YOUR CHOSEN BAND and are not transferrable. We regret that we cannot meet specific date requests from within selected bands.

STEP THREE: You MUST Include a self addressed envelope at least 15cm x 8cm with a 1st class stamp attached . Applications that do not include an SAE will not be processed.

STEP FOUR: You MUST write your 5 date band choices (in order of preference), on the bottom right hand corner of the envelope you send your application in (not your SAE).

STEP FIVE : Send your completed ticket application form, with SEVEN differently numbered tokens attached, together with your SAE to the address on the form. Allow 28 days to receive your tickets – although tickets for band A will be despatched as priority. Last date for receiving applications is Wednesday March 18 and we cannot process applications received after that date. In the unlikely event that we are unable to allocate tickets for any of your four chosen preferences, we will contact you with an equivalent alternative.

You have to buy 7 papers, still cheap for 2 tickets :) , there printing ten tokens, you need 7 different tokens, so buying 7 papers on saturday wont do, unless you buy 7 papers each day
#31
Fantastic deal - for the price of a few papers this is great.
#32
Does anyone know how to get the 50% off rooms? Or will the info be in the paper?
#33
There's a free online token on the 4th of March so you only need to buy 6 papers.
