My first post:

This is mainly for people who took this sim only contract approximately a year ago
http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/o2-simplicity-300-minutes-unlimited/620368.

My contract had just expired a few days ago and I logged onto my account on the o2 website. Under the section "My tariff & Bolts Ons" it was showing me 200 Extra minutes, which I was eligible to add on free of charge, which I did.
So now I am getting the following:
500 xnetwork minutes ( increased from 300 mins for free)
unlimited texts
unlimited landlines (or o2 to o2)
o2 web daily

all for £10.21 per month and not tied into another contract, and can cancel anytime.
So for those of you who took this deal a year ago and haven't cancelled after the 12 months, you can login to your online o2 account or call o2 to get the extra 200 xnetwork minutes free of charge.

Hope this helps.

I guess it's not for those on simplicty for smart phones(same mins and txts but get unlim data as the bolt on but is £5/month more) as I don't see the option in mine, my 12 month ended last month so they might have given me the option then but I didn't look at my account then.

As of i know o2deals are not same for everyone...i took the same contract...my one is about to expire in a few days...they are not showing any bolt-on to me...infact they can take 150 minutes from my allowance and give me 150mb data for free...i don't use the cross network mins that much...so not bothered...
#3
By the way if you want the same contract now it is £15 they are not doing £10 contracts any more....
#4
I had two o2 simonly contracts and they are not offering 200 free minutes on either...but hot if you managed to get it....some thing for free always deserves hot...
#5
not seeing it on mine either, not that i'm bothered, as not really using any where near the 300 x network since I got it last year

but will keep an eye out , just incase :)

BTW has anyone other than OP managed to get the extra 200 mins ?

My brother has just got this aswell. He logged on his o2 account but it wasn't showing him the extra 200 minutes, but he got them from the Live chat online. He said that his brother had got 200 extra free minutes and he would like them aswell.
They added the minutes onto his account and now when he logs onto his o2 account it shows the extra 200 minutes been added.
So if its not showing up for anyone its worth having a Live chat and ask for them, they should add it for you.

I logged into my account and then went to the link on the left hand side, Call Us or Email Us ( https://myo2services.o2.co.uk/emailus )

filled in my details with similar to the OP (Jagga303) saying a friend has the same contract as myself and has been offered 200 extra cross network mins free, stating the cost of the contract and why hadn't I.

they emailed me back saying

We value your loyalty and relation with us and don't want to lose it.
I've added the 200 Extra Minutes Bolt On to your account for free and
you can start using it within 24 hours.

logged back into my account and they're pending addition now :)

BTW the bro did it also (he had a 100 min option) now they've also given him an extra 200 free .. he's gonna tell his girlfriend and anyone else he knows on O2.

this should be hotter than it is.. shame it's a good FREEBIE

I was just about to renew my sim only 300min deal when I checked the ace HUKD site and found this thread. No bolt on free mins on my account, went to livechat and spoke to a creepy guy who said no can do, ditto on the customer services phoneline. I even told that them I was going to go on to the sim600 £15 package but would love the free minutes as a reward for being a customer for over a decade. No go - I am totally gutted. But great deal for those who got it and good post.

@ Yazjee

My sister contact O2 via the livechat today and also managed to get the extra 200 mins for my nephews phone, so seems to still be available, but like a lot of offers you just need to push a little to get them

Flintstone - it a shame that it is so hit and miss, but good for those who have got it - I did try again the next day and spoke to a really nice lady in O2 customer services who said that she did not know of that offer and really for the sim only deals they were not supposed to do bolt-ons so whoever had did it had made a mistake. Strange that so many agents have made a mistake.

Anyway O2's loss as when I called her yesterday it was to get my PUK code thingy because I have decided (after 12 years as O2 cust) to change to the T-mobile sim only deal that I saw on HUKD yesterday - 600 mins, 500 texts and bolt on of your choice - unlimited landlines for me - all at £7.66/mth.
