hmmm - think i preferred last year's version! i'd struggle to do my big shop there 5 weeks out of 6. although the voucher was handy to have...
#3
Last year they upped their prices en masse the week before xmas
#4
Do morrisons think we are thick, poor deal .
#5
Your prob better off putting a few quid away each week instead..we struggled to spend £40 each week and used to end up buying over as we thought we hadnt spent enough!!
#6
Thanks for the heads up - was wondering if they'd do it again this year - voted hot from me as I do my weekly shop at morro's so it's something for nothing!!!! :-D
#7

Love it, great. Spend at least £60 a week in morrisons only thing that annoys me your not allowed to use your staff discount with it, but if you get to whatever you have to spend to use the voucher, split the shopping and use your discount on remainder.

yeah we shop at morries as well, so hot from me

Whats your staff discount? It'll have to be pretty low to make that worthwhile (any higher than 12.5% and you'd lose out completely).

I spend about £80 a week on food. And that's going for the value ranges. No beers or alcohol. No choccie treats. Just fruit, veg, meat, bread, milk, tins, etc. So this is great. It's good to see the battle for the Christmas pound starting again. Morrisons did so well with this deal last year. Heat!
#13
Anyone know the exact week that they will start giving out the voucher collection books?
#14
We shop every week at morrisons and it costs around £75. So this a free xmas bonus as far as were conserned.

Nice one added some heat

Worth a try I suppose :-D

Thanks worth it to me as i do my big shop most weeks at morrisons. One negative for me is the horrendous queue's at the till at christmas- got there first thing last year and did not help. shopping trolly's from tills to back of shop!! :w00t: been like that for last few years at both seaburn and jarrow stores. Thing i dread most at christmas!! heat added.

is that 40 pounds per week or cumulative?

Looks like it's Per week. So you have to spend minimum £200 to get the voucher.

You've lost me...........staff discount is 10%. So if I spend say £100 at christmas, I will put roughly £40 through and use £25 voucher = only paying £15. Then put through other £60, get £6 off, So potentialliy could get £31 off £100 which is fab!

#26
exact terms and conditions are
1. Spend £40 or more in one transaction each week for 5 out of 6 weeks, between 9th nov and 20th dec.
2.
Keep your receipts. Only the fully itemised receipt will be accepted ( not the credit or debit card receipt)
3. Each receipt collected must be from a different week ( multiple receipts from the same weekwill not be accepted)
4. receipts must be kept within the collectors card (which will be given out from 2nd Nov) otherwise they will not be accepted.
5. Once you have collected 5 receipts, take them and collectors card to your local store between 17th and 31st dec to claim your £25 christmas voucher.

You can use your christmas voucher between 17th and 31st dec when you spend £40 or more.
The weeks are 1. 9th-15th nov, 2. 16th-22nd nov, 3. 23rd-29th nov, 4. 30thnov-6dec , 5. 7th-11th dec, 6. 14th-20th dec.

Tynemouth store wasn't at all bad last year as I was dreading the christmas queues sat on a till but they never happened.

When they did the spend £40 instore get 5p a litre off petrol deal a couple of months ago, the tills were printing the vouchers based on the value of the charge to your card, rather than the value of your shopping. This allowed people to just make the charge up to £40 by getting cashback, thereby getting a petrol voucher for next to nothing.

NO you had to have an itemised receipt with £40 of shopping on, saving stamps, cashback mobile topups etc are excluded. I dont beleive you coul do that for the petrol either at least I know you couldn't at my local.
#31
i agree damn rip off
#32
Why is it a rip-off?
Noones making you go there.
It's of course not as good a deal as last year but if you go there anyway and spend at least £40 (which is bloody easy) you're getting £25 off your next bill. That £25 is enough for a full christmas meal.
#33
Parents got it today. Can anyone confirm whether you get it to you in store or whether it is posted?
#34
They do not bother with posting the voucher, you pick it up at Customer Services when you show the receipts.
