If you're gonna get this phone I think this would be a better deal. It's £69.99 but starting tomorrow for 48hrs there will be 25% off this price.... so erm... £52.49

Don't see any future for this phone when you can get a number of Android devices for only about £20 more
Not voted none the less
#6
It's £90 but the phone is worth £60, so really you're not saving anything.

terrible phone

I was considering buying for my daughter - want to spend around £100 - any thoughts on the best phone at this price? (want reasonable camera/web browser/mp3 player - I know I'm not being that specific!)
#8
you can buy this phone pretty much anywhere for around £49-£59 so why on earth is this hot? £90 for a really old phone must be mad, our kids had these for xmas last year and i bought 2 for £59 each with £10 credit and they where old then and where fully unlocked.

£69 at the carphone warehouse with the topup and there alway unlocked and theres quidco and this was the 1st site i checked, the Argos one will be locked to a network, i cant tell you how bad a deal this is

Robbery? slight exaggeration there. LOL

£69.99 at carphone warehouse online, less quidco, makes it £65,the argos one works out at £60 overall, maybe wouldn't suit everyone but for most people argos vouchers are almost as good as cash especially at this time of year,so thats a £5 different in your price, albeit CPW one is unlocked it's still working out more expensive, some people may not be bothered which network it is on or tmobile may be what they want, also if they already are using t-mobile the argos compulsory top up comes in the form of an e-voucher which they could use to top up their own phone, the carphone warehouse top up will come loaded on to a simcard

The t-mobile deal is a good one, better I agree, unless you needed 1 pretty quick and couldn't or didn't want to wait until tomorrow to order and then wait for delivery, argos would be quick option, though you didn't add on the compulsory top up ,t-mobile site make you pay that too on top of the £69.99,so it would be £79.99 and you'd get a free shopping voucher too,but the 25% offer starting tomorrow does make it a better deal overall

Can you buy this, get the voucher and then return the phone?

mobile phones are not returnable to argos unless faulty,so no,even if they were you would have to return the voucher with it or expect it to be deducted from your refund

Great little phone. Cheaper elsewhere, would recommend it tho.

Yes,I'm not disputing it can be bought cheaper elsewhere than £79.99 plus a top up,but factoring in the £30 argos gift voucher makes the overall difference

Your talking rubbish, ive proved how cheap this phone can be bought for and the big plus is it wont be networked locked like the Argos one and you wont have to mess around with redemption. Why you think that a phone that's £30+ more than what its worth is a hot deal is beyond me just because you get a £30 gift voucher for Argos There's no flys on Argos is there because there selling the phone well above its price and then making sure you return to them to buy again and no doubt add more money to the £30 voucher that you have already paid for in the first place, no wonder they do so well with customers like you and others on here who are clearly mental.

I will say it again there's one born every minute in this case there's loads born every minute, ive linked you to it on clearance for £54 and there £5 quidco making the phone £49 a massive saving of £40 and a unlocked phone.

When there's a saving of £40 in it i can and what's the issue do you carry the box around with you or do you take the phone out and put the box away or in the bin. In my experience these clearence phones are brandnew units with all the parts and books the only difference is the box and they come with 12months warranty as do the no clearence models and i will say it again unlocked.

The 2 links ive put in where the 1st 2sites i looked at but if i where arsed with trying to prove how much of a bad deal this is no doubt i could find it brandnew with credit for £59 all because you like the pretty box that cost £30.

I have already said the poster who put up the info with the 25% off offer has the better deal, your deals are not.

Clearance handsets prices on offer can not be compared to new,

If you can submit a better offer for buying this phone NEW feel free to do so

Blimey, all this playground bickering over a cheap phone. Get a grip!

I won't comment or rate the price, but thought I'd pitch in and agree with the posts that this isn't a great phone. You're better off with a Pulse or Nokia 5230 for the price.
