Terms and Conditions:

This FREE trial offer expires on 31/12/2006. Offer only valid for first-time subscribers to ScreenSelect.co.uk or any other Video Island operated service. Offer may not be redeemed in conjunction with any other offer and is limited to one per household. The free trial expires 21 days after registration or when we send you your 6th DVD rental, whichever is the sooner. A valid credit/debit card is required to redeem the offer. The registration process includes providing a current e-mail address, password, home address (so ScreenSelect.co.uk can send out the DVDs), credit or debit card details (to verify identity) and creating a selection of at least 10 titles. Only users who have fully completed the registration process and had their first DVD despatched will receive a voucher for a free bottle of EJ Gallo Turning leaf wine . Your wine voucher will be dispatched within 30 days of registration. At expiry of the free trial period, credit/debit cards will be automatically billed for the monthly subscription fee based on the package selected, unless subscription has already been cancelled. can u go through qidco, adn when its been tracked, cancel your trial??

Quidco tracking for LoveFilm is fast meaning could be in less than a day. But tracking alone doesnt guarantee cashback. If you havent tried LoveFilm before, go for the trial and rent a few DVDs and cancel within 21 days & when the last DVD is their possession. You lose nothing by renting a few DVDs at least and you will be eligible for the Wine voucher & £12.50 cashback.

Just checked out Lovefilm on Quidco and it says:

"£12.50 for a genuine new user registration and free trial".

They're also slow payers so I have my doubts if they will honour the £12.50. Worth a try though!

I dont think so. If you satisfy the T&C's, there shouldnt be any problems with Quidco cashback.

What do they define as 'first-time subscribers to ScreenSelect.co.uk'. I have used screenselect previously, but my wife hasn't.

Is it down to name or email address or credit card number to define if you have used the service before, or just plain old house address?

If anyone has registered again but as a first time subscriber at the same household let me know.

£9.99 a month! Wow, thats expensive. Amazon's is much cheaper, though it appears you get unlimited rentals unlike Amazon.

I am after Ultimate Force S4 which Amazon don't have at the moment, if I rented that out and another couple of DVD's then cancelled in the trial month, would I be eligible for the free vino and or the cashback?

So am I but have cancelled because of the really bad service that I experienced...wonder if its worth a try...they can only say no and refuse the application.

Of three films I have recieved from lovefilms, one was almost snapped in half and another wouldnt play at all due to scratches, if it wasnt free I wouldnt use this company :pirate:

What's the promotional code for the wine - is it 'pizza' or 'goodfellas' or similar?

Thanks in advance

I think this answers your question

"Only users who have fully completed the registration process and had their first DVD despatched will receive a voucher for a free bottle of EJ Gallo Turning leaf wine . Your wine voucher will be dispatched within 30 days of registration"

Thanks Curryshops :)

As you say there is no code for the wine. You have to follow the link in the OP. When going through Quidco, make sure to change the url ext to lovefilm.com/wine

I registered, but didn't like the whole layout, so clicked the "canbcel" button, only to be told that I have to ring an 0870 number (which they say is entirely free) to finish the canncellation. I reckon I'll ring my CC company instead and tell them not to pay any dosh over.

Has anyone gone through with this? I almost just did but got worried they would catch me out with their sign up options. They give you 3 choices:

Unlimited 1 - 1 disc -- 14 days FREE - £9.99
Unlimited 2 - 2 discs - 14 days FREE - £12.99 *most popular
Unlimited 3 - 3 discs - 14 days FREE - £14.99

Now, I'm worried I'm going to be stuck with no way to complete the 5 DVD qualifying trial in 14 days. If I go for the "unlimited 1" option (1 DVD at a time), then it will be quite a feat to get 5 DVDs posted back and forth between me and lovefilm within 14 days, especially if they have anything to do with it (which they have). But if I go for the "unlimited 2" option I may be stuck only able to go through either 4 or 6 DVD rentals and therefore void my qualifying (5 DVD) trial period.

Perhaps I worry too much. Does anyone have any experience of successfully completing this offer?

Just give yourself time to cancel, don't try and push it! If you're ripping the films, it's easy to get through 5 in 14 days

So you have to cancel within 14 days, can this be done on the website or does it involve a phone call? And you have to rent at least 5 dvds in those 14 days?

So do you think I should go for...

"Unlimited 1 - 1 disc -- 14 days FREE - £9.99"

...To equal exactly 5 DVDs by ordering 1 at a time? I take it they'd have to receive the disc back before sending the next one out. Still worried about timing, as I can't see how it could take less than 2 or 3 working days (at least) for each order to rotate. Thereby going over the 14 day free trial.

OR...

Can I go for the 2 disc option... Order 2... Order 2... Order 1 (only)... Cancel.

I'm just a bit confused as I've never done any these postal DVD rentals before, and I know the likes of britannica would do stuff like send a film you've never ordered, to take their compulsary charge. Worried that this company will automatically send me 3 lots of 2 DVDs (6) Therefore forcing me to go into a chargable account.

I hope you understand my concern/confusion???:geek: ...I know I'm probably being stupid.

Has anyone done this yet? What option did you go for?
