If you are one of the first 30,000 customers to follow the steps above; I read it as - (just a simple copy and paste from the t&c's.)

I think you should update your title to reflect the fact that is not a definate, you have a 1/30,000 chance, which sounds a lot but is a drop in the ocean comapred to how many people in the UK use ebay.
They may even be run out already......
Good post though, thanks.

How do you work out that you only have a 1 in 30000 chance? They are offering 30000 vouchers, so a 1 in 30000 chance of getting one would imply that 30000x30000 = 900000000 people will be taking up this. So 900 million people in the UK (excluding NI) will be taking them up? Don't think so.

I did see in an email from ebay, they are making the fees simpler to work out for you, they are putting them up to "JUST" 10% on nearly everything, next step will be to make it easier on PayPal they will make that 10% fees :-)

Ok, so I didnt quite put it right,
What I meant was each person can have 1 voucher and there are 30,000 of them.
When those 30,000 are gone they are gone (to the first 30,000 who did it), hence it not being a defo.

Whats wrong with that? obviously microsoft are co-sponsoring this giveaway ($5 on ebay.com (USA)) and it involves their software...

Nobody complains about instaling coupon printing software, akin to this which is much less monitored for nasties, less easily uninstalled, and only usable for a single product.

This is a paypal voucher that can be used anywhere that accepts it (not just ebay)!!

are you voting on this deal?

Didnt missunderstand at all, your point was quite clear..."ebay IE9 is buggy as hell I can't even get" through Paypal checkout
