ok, i know this scheme has been around for years and its not a Hot deal as such but I just wanted to say that with the rising cost of fuel and the mileage I do Im getting one of these vouchers to spend instore every other month.
The great thing about it is there are no forms to fill out etc etc you just ask the cashier for a card and then swipe it every time you fill up your vehicle.
I find it better than earning points etc etc as you get a true value of £5 in your hand to spend in store.

Earn up to 15 Morrisons Miles with every litre of fuel you purchase. Once youve collected 4995 miles on a single card, by purchasing 333 litres of fuel, well give you a £5 shopping voucher to spend in-store.

Theres no waiting for the vouchers to be posted either, you just pick them up from the petrol station kiosk and spend them in any Morrisons store its as simple as that.

at 333 litres for a £5 voucher, that works out:

500p / 333L = 1.5p

so if you can buy your fuel more than 1.5p elsewhere this is not worth it. Most of the time suppermarkets do the best prices anyway :)

Voted hot from me, cos I use them and work pays for the fuel :)

voted hot as Morrisons is usally 1 or 2pence cheaper than the alternative (Tesco) when you consider how many BOGOF deals that Morrisons do as well this is a desent deal.

Better idea is get the shell credit card that gives you 3% cashback on petrol. With the average tank taking £60 to fill, thats £1.80 off of every fill up - infact im gonna go post that :)

333 litres at about £1.15 per litre = £382.95 spend for £5 back OR 1.3% cashback

Tesco Clubcard Plus gives you double pts on spend.
£100 spend = 200pts = £2 spend in Tesco OR £8 spend on deals = 8% cashback

You could always buy your petrol with a cashback credit card (say at about 1%) and still get the Morrison's deal as well.

Thanks for posting (as any original ideas on petrol saving are welcome these days) They try to make it complicated, so people don't figure out their not actually getting such a great deal, but if you think about it logically, you can normally get to the bottom of it.

I prefer to have cash voucher in hand, although I take your point.
