The girlfriend goes mad for this. Last year they where giving out £100 sets (or around that). They arent this year as they where all made in December (It's all the old stuff they are getting rid of).

She did get a £40 set, so not too bad.

I was going to pop into Lush later to pick up some new shampoo so may as well spend the extra £13 if they have some decent baskets.

Oh and im a, slightly offended, guy :p

I just got a £25 gift box free after spending £20, the dearest boxes they had in Cov were £29. Said they didn't have any of the lovely gold £100 boxes this year, all sold before Xmas!

Not just you!

To me it smells so bad on the outside, that I've never ventured inside!

I'm probably missing out on lots of nice things!!
#13
This is a great offer and it includes all the gift boxes even the Lush legends one worth £100 but they are not many stores that has any gift boxes left

Err... no it's not - and spending more than 5 seconds in that place and I pass out

Was in the Poole one today at 10am as it was there first day open. All the big boxes had gone but they had loads of the £30-£40 free boxes left. I bagged one of those.:gift:
#16
Title of the post is a bit misleading really! There will be no £50 box sets left anywhere by now.. you'll be very lucky to get anything worth over £15/£20 .. the same as every other year they have done these promotions.
Still, it's a very good deal .. anything free is a bonus :)

Although you might vote this a cold deal if you regularly "enjoy" flying from Stansted:

I went to the Bristol store today. Spent £40 (on things I use all the time from there) and got £150 of freebies (one £100 hat box one £50 hat box) there were LOADS of boxes in the Bristol store and although by now most of the £50 ones would have gone I would say that you would be very likely to find lots of £30ish ones there tomorrow.

Or you could just not buy the Charity Pot cream they do as that's the only thing that funds such activity ... ;-)

My thoughts exactly.

How anyone can stand to shop in them is beyond me, let alone work in one. My nose has trouble just walking past

I too don't really favour the 'scent' walking past the Windsor branch.... I don't see the appeal in that stuff. Obviously, I'm probably from the minority..we should have a 'vote' - how many hukd'ers like the smell vs. how many loathe it.....

eh?! why can't i add the smileys?!

I have to time it just right whilst passing LUSH. If I breathe at the wrong time, I end up in a coughing fit. I wish I didn't react like this but I do so I don't go in and unfortunately I miss out on these cool bargains

It's not just you - It makes me gag everytime I walk near it!:?

Same here! When I was pregnant I had to avoid the whole area of the shopping centre where the shop is otherwise I would have been sick.

Well i still voted hot as it is a hot deal [ for those who like it ]

I used some of this stuff [ my girlfriends ] god knows what was in it : i think it was honey, pistatio nuts, lemon and some form of parafin wax??? ] and it was absolutely useless... a bit like that **** Imperial Leather stuff.

DOVE is the way forward [ must be that one quarter moisturisng cream!! ]

various Xmas gift boxes available, all different stuff in them, you have to look at the labels. Most have fizzy bath bombs, soaps & shower jelly, foot cream, things like that! the one I got today had the things I have just mentioned, their stuff is lovely. You can buy a gift box for £20 and get another one up to the most expensive they have in the shop for free! Trouble is all the big boxes go 1st!
#34
Excellent ,
I told my cousin who had giftr voucher's, he got a £30.00 gift box free !
thanks for the post!
#35
Been into Covent Garden shop today and picked up one of the Enchanted gift boxes - originally £32.25 , free today when I spent just over £20. There are 9 items in this box 4 ballistics, 3 bubble bars 1 soap and 1 lip balm. Excellent value great find, Thanks

Nah, I got the £100 Lush Legends set first thing at one of the ones in Manchester! :-D

What makes their stuff so good?

I bought my mum a £40 box a couple of years back and the inside was such a disappointment. Presentation of the gift box - thumbs up; presentation of the individual items inside - thumbs down.
I felt well and truly stung. £40 for a fancy box and some tat you could find anywhere.

Please, somebody tell me what makes their stuff special.

Good point - it's grossly overpriced when you compare their soap with 'normal' brands, but people buy it because of the name (and the awful stench of the shops, which has been mentioned above several times).

For a start, all products are fresh AND handmade, all packaging is made from recycled products.

All the people that says LUSH stinks must be crazy!!!

On Boxing Day, I bought a tub of 'Sympathy for the skin' - just a normal moisteriser without a strong smell and it is FANTASTIC!!! Made my skin instantly soft and smooth!

I still havent opened my FREE £50 hamper yet, I am having enough pleasure looking at the box!!

Glad most of you liked my first post! x
