Not much of an incentive for taking out a £180 minimum (12months x £17.5) contract! If you were going for a new contract anyway then I suppose it's a small bonus to buy from them now. But I got a 512MB M2 with my Sony Ericsson and it's practically discarded now because I replaced it with a 2GB (£18 del).

Free memory card in store can be used on the £15 tariffs as well
    PoisonJam
Can only get £15 over 18 months meaning you have to spend £270! That's taken from their website, though.

It's a pretty poor offer and they're obviously just trying to get rid of stock they can't flog anymore. Most phones come with 512MB cards so no-one's going to buy them.

minus £30 refer a friend and £55 quidco. Plus free bluetooth headset code may be abit more appealing to some.

You cannot use quidco and refer a friend together now, otherwise you quidco will decline. Quidco is really low now depending on your phone and contract you take.

At the end of the day 3's contracts are pretty cheap anyway, so getting a free memory card worth about a tenner is an extra bonus imho.

Let's not start voting this cold just because you don't like other things about 3!

Since when? Took my contract out last month and quidco verified as did refer a friend!

EDIT: Looks like quidco prices have changed this week. They have gone down somewhat :(
Back in May I got k610i for my partner on £15 contract (500 mins) with £25 credit back on account, £30 refer a friend and £72.50 quidco. Aswell as bluetooth headset and 512mb memory card.

You just cant get those deals now :(
Doesnt say anything about Refer a friend on quidco tho, so I expect it to go through.

You are missing the point lol, the memory card is FREE, a little extra incentive! besides who else can give you 250 mins x network and 50 text and free handset etc etc etc for £15 a month ? exactly none , now go back to your crappy t-mobile payg :)

Fair point on the last two items but that wasn't what this deal post was about, was it? Instead, you get a useless 512MB memory card. If the phone comes with a 512MB minimum (as any decent phone should) it makes a second 512MB card practically useless. You gonna carry it around with you all the time to swap it over? Will probably get about £3 for it on ebay...

The point I see is, whether it's free or not, it's useless! Wouldn't make me suddenly sign up for a contract I'd been pondering over...

    And I'm definitely not T-mobile and I'm not P&G either :)

You can do quidco & RAF:-

What you need to do is click through the quidco link to three - then go to the refer a friend section of the site. Once there, there should be a link called "Already been recommended?"

Click this link, then click "shop online now". You should then be on the main three page - where you can select your phone. The RAF number should be on the personal details page

Any idea how good these freebie bluetooth headsets are? Not that I'd turn one down for free but just interested if they're decent quality and don't make you look like Captain Scarlett.

What, you can get them without buying ANYTHING????

BTW - you can get a 512MB Micro SD card from crucial for £5.86 delivered, so this bargain isn't even worth a tenner.

I wasn't claiming this to be a super hot deal, but here's my situation...I already know that I want to switch from my current PAYG phone to 3, I was just waiting until the right time when the best deal was available. Now as it stands I'm going to get Quidco, refer a friend, bluetooth headset, and a 512MB card. I don't think that's bad for a £20/pm contract with a decent free phone (Nokia 6120) and no hassle with cashback.

I don't think the memory card alone would sway anyone into choosing 3, don't think anyone was suggesting that.

    Hi Drift,

Dialaphone are doing the Nokia 6120 free on the £15 a month 250 minutes and 50 SMS. Quidco £60, but no memory card. You have to really look at the deals before you find it. The same offer is also available with the handset at £49.99, so think theres a mistake somewhere. Make sure you screen shot everything.

I am waiting to see what the Nokia 6120 sells at Sim free. I think this handset will shortly be available with very good cashback offers as its very cheap once the main retailers get hold of it.

I am sure it was here or MSE that people were getting the Quidco declined and the refer a friend was the reason. This appears to have changed recently

Hi Baz, think I'll be ordering direct from 3 with the £20 500 mins + 100 text contract. I checked with 3 yesterday and the 6120 apparently supports the full set of X-Series features including Skype so £5 extra per month gets you unlimited internet access, skype, and all the other stuff you get with X-Series Silver. You don't get the option to buy this at the checkout but they told me to call them once the phone arrived to get it sorted.

Sorry, must just be Sony Ericsson phones on an O2 contract. Like I said, any decent phone :-D
