Just been looking for a new telly and noticed that Empire Direct are doing free 5 year warranties on all Panasonic TV's. The one I was looking at is linked.

P.S. is this TV any good?

id happly say thats the best tv ever , such a bargain at the price you havnt listed and the colour assuming we had a clue what it is is wonderfull , and such picture quality from the assumed 1x1 through to 2 trillionx2trillion is hard to beat , as for the power output and usage ,,,, its so good its like its not even there ,,,, which it isnt

resalutions not brill , its gunna be loud , its got a digi tuner but not built in freeview which is good and bad , price is so so , ive been on the lookout for a tv for sometime so i can tell you for the same price a toshiba in currys in a tenner more for the 42 inch with the same spec and the 37 is 20 quid less , also currys have managers specials each day at the minute as there getting desparate , over 2 days there was a 40 inch sony LCD for 500 quid ,,, the day i didnt have the money on me ,,,,,, so popped back next day and sure enough that was gone replaced with a samsung 50 inch plasma for 700 ,,, ok the rez on this also wasnt the best but 50 inch ,,,,,,, look for the puddle of druel where i was stood

Sorry, I thought I was quite clear in the title. The deal is the free 5yr Warranty. I linked to the one I was interested in as it would come with a 5yr warranty, and I wanted to see whether you guys thought it was any good.

Weird how the PX70B (plasma only) is more expensive than the newer PX80B (inc pedestal)...

This ia a nationwide offer from Panasonic themselves. Ends 30th September so you can buy one from the cheapest place and send of the receipt and claim form for a FREE five year warranty

Apparently, you can't do this. You have to go to specified shops for this to work (of which ED was the cheapest)

You should call the store to confirm if this is possible. I have the 42PX70B and it's an amazing TV on both SD and HD viewing. I haven't seen the 42PX80B in action, but from what I've read, it's even better. At this price, it's a steal and you won't regret it.
