Yeah, I thought it was a distinctly average water.

for God's sake, water is water - I hate it when people say they can taste a difference. If it was the same water in a different bottle (French!) you would buy 10 papers.

Hot and refreshing at the same time.

dio,
if you want some money off vouchers from World Duty Free shop at the airport (useful for alchie deals if you see them), gives you 10% off.
here's the link, but now you need to register your info (dont need to be accurate details, as it just gives you a pdf viewer to print the voucher off).

Thanks, kippy; just seen this! I was at my destination by the time that you posted this though! I'll keep it for the next time.

In which case its a cold deal coz I can get free free water from the tap ;-)

Anyway....hot deal, although the hotness of the deal is over inflated by the inflated RRP of the water. H+R given.

WH Smiths have been doing this for ages (at least a year) at Manchester Piccadilly Station, although they vary the newspaper that the deal is with. It's a good deal, actually a great deal if you're travelling because a drink and reading material are top of my priority list.

You're gonna need this when you get that hot PSP.
#11
Anything thats free is a hot deal

Last time i went through i went through Stansted they were doing this (airside)

How about instead of wasting money, energy, etc... just bring your own bottled water?

No wonder so many people are in debt. They don't think.
#14
To be fair - I dont think that the UKs massive consumer debt can be laid on the doorstep of Evian....
#15
And I also don't think it's a bad thing to buy the Times. Just great if you get some free water with it!

Personally if I'm going on a journey I always pack some water, but it inevitably runs out and there isn't necessarily always a ready source of drinking water about to refill it. Knowing I can get a bargain when changing trains etc. is handy information

Never seen this in High Street branches, only stations.

Vittel is pretty stinking though.

This offer has been around for quite some time.
They change the newspaper every Thursday.
And also sometimes dont do free water at all but a half price chocolate bar or something.

It only seems to be stations and airports which do this though.
And of course at the airport, you'd be a bit silly to do this before you go through security.

Fine unless you are going to the airport; you can't take water through the security area.

I don't think that free bottle of water will harm my bank balance too much...

Or........

Stay at home, read the Times on the web and enjoy a beautiful free glass of crystal clear chilled tap water. Now that's what I call a bargain! :)
