Heard this advertisement several times on XFM Manchester (97.7FM) today:

Renault Manchester are offering free vehicle safety checks on all vehicles (not just Renaults) this weekend which are over 4 years old. As well as the free vehicle check you also get free AA Roadside Assistance for 12 months.

The advert says "It will be busy" and you MUST pre-register by calling 0845 386 6326 and quoting "Radio Assistance"

There'll no doubt be some sort of marketing to sign up to / advertising when you arrive at Renault Manchester, but maybe worth it... Unfortunately, I'm away this weekend.

big LOL...Maybe Nelson Piquet Jr could take advantage
Can they really be trusted?
They'll probably engineer a safety car to ensure that everyone is stuck behind it and can't actually get to the garage.

And because they also provide engines to all the other garages and recovery organisations they will be let off because they will make an example of the odd scape-goat.
Trusted ex-Renault employees!
Great first post bsg264 ! :-)
Trusted ex-Renault employees!

Obviously hoping to make more on repairs than they outlay in AA membership. Especially as they wn't allow cars under 4 years old (As there is less likely to be anything wrong with them / they are more likely to still be in warranty)

Cynical? You bet!! Voted hot as its a good freebie and you should get your car checked out - just take it with a pinch of salt, or maybe get a second opinion (aka a cheaper quote) from a good independant
Defently get a 2nd quote from a inderpendent garrage.
so did any one take them up?
