The starter packs will probably have a small packet, maybe 5 - 10 strips, so you can make sure you get on with the machine before you change your prescription to the new brand of strips for your new machine.

Me and my 9 diabetic friends need these. Mr and Mrs Flea and their children Bay and Buyitnow will be over joyed.

There loads of different ones and they go for £5 to £10, 10 of each and that's a tidy wee sum. Thanks op, I'm off to squeeze some money out of ill people.

if your diabetic then you you get free prescriptions, i think?

Diabetic on meds.

Diabetics will get these meters free from there endocrinologists. Check the makers websites as may give them away free as they make money on the strips.

This seems to be only for current users. Whay information does the email ask for? Have just been diagnosed but don't know which of these meteres I should use. Any help appreciated.

I have had this meter since they came onto the market and it is small with a nice wallet and only takes around 5 or 6 seconds to do the count! Has what somebody above has said , go to your diabetic nurse and they will give you one of these testers FREE..

You get the strips from the chemist
I said in earlier post that certain people cash in on these , because why is there a need to purchase these , when your nurse can hand them out for free

What's wrong with the xceed? Isn't it the only monitor that measures ketones?

Why is anyone voting this hot? If you need to monitor your blood glucose then your diabetic nurse will give you a testing kit free of charge. £0 versus £3 means this is a bad deal.

Not Working For The Accu Chek Meters Coming Up At 15.26 Each

cold from me, free for people who need it like diabetics, medication is free also for diabetics, your gp will give you a form to fill in to waive all medicine charges, you can get the strips on presccription from your gp for FREE.

 It's not hard, just a stingy GP!!! It's because these brand strips are very expensive and the money comes out of your GP's drugs budget! Thus any money left over in this budget at the end of a financial year goes straight into his back pocket!!!!!!!!
