Never heard of this.. nice.

As far as I know, and I'm not an expert (and I can't check as my card went through the washing machine this year) you DO need to re-apply every year.

The first year (2007) I applied, the card came with no expiry date on it. This year's card came with an expiry date, and the people at Upper Crust at Fenchurch Street used to examine the card quite carefully sometimes. Of course, it would be an odd business who would refuse to give you the discount and let you walk away with nothing, so perhaps re-applying every year is not strictly essential.

You can really use it at every outlet in a railway station? at leeds there is a subway mcdonalds burgerking and a load of cookie places too. Seems a great deal:thumbsup:
#16
i see it is just the ones listed on the site. Still a good deal though.
#17
Hot, applied for. thx

Some overpriced food in railway cafes will be brought down to something more reasonable. These would be good if they worked in motorway services, in airports and on ferrys.

I've ordered one, nothing to lose and I might fancy a coffee when I travel by train once or twice in 2009.

This card is great. It brings the sometimes inflated prices of some station retailers down to normal.

However, some of the prices end up being a bit cheaper than normal (BK for instance) and some i would say are a bargain.

For instance Camden Food company which is a sandwich shop.
The food isn't too bad and is fairly priced in the first place. Add the card and the prices are cheaper than most other similar type sandwich shops. (ie Pret, Eat, M&S)

would be good if they could persuade other retailers to join the scheme.

Why is it when you walk through the doors of a Train station all currency becomes almost worthless?
#36
Many thanks. I rarely take train trips but they normally coincide with a visit to Burger King :)
