Nice offer, the jug should come with a filter as well :)

Three cartridges for a tenner sounds very expensive (when it comes time to buy refills)

How many litres do you get per cartridge?

The cartridges for mine (Lidl one) cost £4.50 for three.
#3
Its because they are Brita Maxtra filters and 3 for £10 is quite resonable. Other prices are:

Tesco - £12.50
Asda - Pack of two £7.89
Sainsburys - £12.50

Are the LIDL ones Maxtra cartrdiges as they filter the water better or just the standard ones. Great price just for the cartridges. The only problem is what to do with all the jugs you get.

Three filters and a free jug, and free super saver delivery.
So for £10.40 I get the jug and three filters delivered.
Nice one.
Thanks.

they had this in tjhughes for £12 but the jug was one of those where you put the date on it and change filter in 4 weeks, so this is better jug, voted hot, but doesnt beat the freebie one some of us got a year ago from amazon:thumbsup:

oh it seems this is the calendar jug too, not the lcd screen one

already posted here but £10.47 then http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/198767/free-brita-spacesaver-cool-white-wa/ so guess it's a new deal and hot

and what's wrong with not having to replace the tiny battery in the LCD display?

The one I got from Robert Dyas a month ago says 1 filter lasts 100Litres (Approx 1 month) they say. This was the Aqua Optima .

Great!
1 cheap bottle of vodka
Put vodka through water filter X3
= 1 bottle of tripple distilled vodka (AKA Smirnoff)

Also some nasty potato juice to throw away

I got this last month, after it was posted on HUKD, for £10.47!!! You also get a cartridge with the jug, so it is effectively 4 cartridges and a jug. The date indicator is not LCD, it's a manual dial. Good jug, rubbish pourer, already had one the same, so have one in the fridge door and 1 for filling the kettle.
The cartridges last about 3 weeks in our house before the scum returns, but we are a family of 7.

Excellent!

Thanks for this. I was only thinking of getting one of these this morning, but was put off by the price.

I've still got my £2.50 voucher from here to use so all in all. £8 for this is a bargain!
#14
Thanks, needed some filters for my elmaris cool and this'll do nicely as a kettle jug as well as one in the fridge :)!
#15
Top deal! I just bought some and because I'd had two vouchers of £5 from a banner site I belong too it ended up costing me 40p in total Thanks
#16
good jug, but as pointed out before the spout seems a bit weird for pouring, although it does not drip.
#17
Thanks to the OP for this.
Got Trumpton and Camberwick Green DVDs for less than £4 each as well
Used the £2.50 voucher from here, got free delivery, and all for a bargainous £15.85 :)

Mine came this morning. Nice size jug, especilally if you don't actually ever get around to drinking your 2.5 litres a day. Water tasted great and yes there is an extra cartridge in jug. As the jug comes in its own box, its great for giving away as useful pressies. Jug on its own is about £8-£9 in most places.
#19
Thanks for this. I've grabbed two sets in two separate orders
#20
impressive for a brita free jog filter :)
#21
Definitely makes water taste better, but that's only my opinion.

Hot, the extra 2 cartridges over the normal £10 with one cartridge should save about £3 though - maybe.
#22
Really good find-heat and rep added!:)
#23
great deal...going for it

A general question (stupid it may be :) ) isnt the tap water potable????
#24
Do these fit easily in fridge doors?

and how bad is the spout?

Fits easily in fridge door, nothing wrong with the spout it's just a weird design to stop dust/whatever going in through the top, pours perfectly fine.

Have some Heat....bought 2 great price for a pair of Jugs...........:w00t:
#27
Am I being stupid?

Cant get the porice stated and keep having to buy both? how do you get the price down?
