Really poor prices, they're are loads of current deals on here that beat this and don't have you paying yet more money to sky.
#2
which network does Sky use ??

no deal is a good deal if network coverage is poor in your area
#3
For the record, you have to buy a data plan first to get those calls and texts so they aren't actually free. It's just marketing language that they deliberately design to be misleading.

Was only every going one way this one went stone cold when launched with a fanfare and reality is it's the worst deal out there.

Nobody is going to sign up for these deals........ Get real SKY !!!!!

If one of you guys that understands mobile deals better than me could spare the time to help me out here [email protected] really appreciate it.

I currently pay BT (who use EE) £10 a month for 3GB data, 500 minutes and unltd txts

BUT

I live in a rural notspot and the only way i can get calls/txts at home is to leave my phone on the windowsill.

o2 have just upgraded their masts here and are the only network with reliable signal. If if switched to o2 I should now be able to get 4G at home and surrounding area, but their tariffs seem even more expensive than the Sky offer here.

To my simple brain this seemed a good deal - £10 for 1GB data that i would struggle to use, and free calls and txts because i am already tied into sky TV (Freeview notspot), + if Sky still use o2, finally a great mobile signal at home.

Your comments here would suggest that this is not the deal it would appear to be for my circumstances so alternative suggestions would be welcome

Thank you in anticipation.

If o2 are the main company in your area you have three options other than Sky. O2 expensive Tesco mobile cheaper and good quality service and data speeds or giffgaff good cheap bit slow data. Try Tesco monthly sim would be what I would do :)

tesco mobile 4gb for £12.50

The "piggy-banking" of unused data is I think unique, and a good selling point......which other providers would do well to emulate...

id Mobile and Virgin Mobile both offer data rollover too.

Thanks for your suggestions - i hadn't thought about Tesco, (presumably they use o2 network ?)

£12.50 for 4gb does seem a much better deal, but I would be paying £2.50 extra (compared to Sky) for data I wouldn't use.

For the record, Tesco and Sky aren't the only company that piggyback off O2. There's also Lycamobile, Giffgaff and many others:

I've just signed up to this for the exact same reason. Only O2 gives me indoor coverage and this is by far cheaper than O2 prices. Only really have Tesco mobile left to choose from and their prices seem more.

I am currently on a plan that gives me unlimited minutes for £5 a month which uses EE, its a great deal but can only use them at home if I stand outside in the back garden! Voted hot
