#4
Its not actually free seeing as the line rental price is going up by 99p.
#5
Isnt there some T&C that states that the Virgin Mobile you call must have made a chargeable call within the previous x days of being called from the landline? :?

HOT HOT HOT! Virgin doing all the right things at the moment!
#9

You've gotta be kidding me!

My orange broadband and line package gives me free calls to UK orange mobiles, any-operator U.S. & Canadian mobiles, plus a load of other domestic and international landlines, and has done for about three years..
#14
was too expensive because i never used it, i also go shut of tv and they
are now giving me bb for £18 pm.

may be a good deal for some.

i got nothing but nuisance phone calls to my vm line
#15
I still can't get my head round why calls from 'Landlines to Mobiles' is way more expensive then from ''Mobiles to Mobiles"
#16
are they allowed to just increase line rental prices like that? I have 7 months of my contract left with them and they are just changing the prices?

Orange have been doing this for ages, one of the reasons I'm with them ( home max) about time there's a little more choice

''More than four million new and existing Virgin home phone customers with unlimited packages will be able to call anyone with a Virgin mobile phone.''
HMMMM............................................................????
#22
My family all use their mobiles too so this is a welcome addition to a great set of packages. Absolutely no regrets since leaving BT
#23
As other have said, the line rentak has now gone up and so has my TV or BB, not sure which. Luckily in Swindon, so when our Swindon-wide internet comes in, I will be leaving Virgin!
#24
Hot deal, this may be in light of O2 doing the same thing soon
#25
I hope 02 follows. :p

I think you're right. I remember reading that there is going to be a broadband tax, to fund high speed broadband in the future, but even people who just have phone and not internet have to pay the extra :?

Seems unlimited costs £19.94. So you have to pay £19.94 before you get free calls to mobiles.

I believe that's £6 a year.

a chargeable call or text has to be made on the virgin mobile within 90 days. so basically, have used the mobile.

however you get 25% off payg if you already have virgin media or sign up.
i think its a great offer. as for the 99p, sky and bt have either upped their charges or uping their charges, least virgin are giving something you can use.
#31
Brilliant deal this. what with the extra HD channels coming and a couple of extra SD channels the future is looking up for Virgin Media

pls - how do you ppl find out about this ?

i've not had an email [that'd be too simple] nor a letter and as for finding anything on their website well we all know what a navigational nightmare that can be

From the shock of their first bill after April

But seriously, I don't know, I only found out from these forums. Maybe they will send a letter out soon though, guess it's not something they want to shout about....

that indeed they better had do and prior to 01st march because i believe they have to give 28 days written notice in advance

thx for the HU deathtrap - just found out im in for a £2.99 rise before taking the phonecalls into account :x
#38
I'd rather they included 0845 and 0870 numbers in the package - probably a lot more useful for most VM customers.
#39
They might be giving you free calls to virgin mobile but their adding 1p to every other charge including the connection fee so ,think this works out at about 20% increase per chargable cal plus an extra 99p per month. Considering virgin also charge more for 0845 and 0870 calls than most others I think i will switch out.

I think this deal is cold
#40
Is the free calls to virgin mobiles only free at the weekend?
