M&S are sending out a free case of wine to anyone who applies for and uses thier credit card. Apply for the card online and use it once in M&S and they'll send you a case of wine for free! Make sure you use the link below as it's impossible to find otherwise.

Sounds good to me Miffy, in fact applying as I type

Welcome on board flipflop9999. Great first post!

BTW You dont work for M&S do you? I've seen the latest results!!!

:p

Title is a bit misleading it should be when you are accepted and use their card. If it was just apply and get a case I would be tempted.
#6
I've done it for free mp3 players and stuff, signing up for cards, use once and then not use them. I normally have a clear out once a year and write to anything that I don't use and is open on my credit report to get it to settled so it can actually have the effect of improving your rating as you getting credit and then settling it.

This has 6 months 0% balance and purchase on there to - not the market leader but ok.

I'd like to know where the original link came from tho - just to make sure its not an affiliate making some £££s the wrong way... Not to suspect any1, just out of curiosity to as a company somewhere has the deal with M&S to market this if it can only be found by this link?
#7
Also - this is spend at M&S to get the wine - not anywhere! Good to note that.

Another plus point is its only a 2% balance transfer fee - (avg is about 3%)

expires on 14/07/08

Just a thought, M&S have their main meal, side dish, dessert & bottle of wine @ £10 at the mo'

If you get your card on time, thats a bargain in itself!

Job done!
#9
Worth a punt, just find a very cheap item or another bargain at M&S, use the card, pay off the balance and leave the card in the draw until the wine arrives, then cancel it!

Use this link to remove any possiblity of a referral association. This as you can see goes straight to the relevant M&S page.

says offer until 14th july or while stocks last how do we know they have'nt run out already???
#12
I suggest they have put in that clause in case the whole of UKHD signs up. :):whistling:

Remarkable!

Most credit card deals are colder than a penguins nads, but throw in some cheap plonk and hey presto - scorcher!
#14
good find

Imagine running out of wine!

*shudders at the thought*

The oil that makes the plastic for the card is likely to run out before the wine :-)
#17
Shouldn't this be in "Freebies"?

Well you have to spend something to get it so I vote - no. But I'm still unclear of the murky rules of the forum even after 3 months :-)

dont think they'd welcome me!!

with my credit history, lol..
#21

Needed a new card anyway, so good find! The M&S summer sale must be soon - deffo in the next few weeks so wont be struggling to qualify for the wine :whistling::-D

I have an M&S card - and its great! It offers 55 days interest free on spending - I put all my grocery shopping on it (not at M&S please note as I'm not rich!) and pay it off at the end of the month - and they send me M&S vouchers to spend! Great! Easy money to spend in M&S if you put all your purchases on the card! I personally wouldn't be without my card! (shame they weren't offering anything when I signed up!)
#24
what's the cheapest thing i can buy in m&s to qualify for the wine?

Is there a rule where you must spend £10 to use a credit card?

Thanks for the heads-up on the deal
#25
Hot - just applied. I got a Sony walkman MP3 worth about £34 about a year ago with the Sony card from MBNA min spend £250. Don't see a min spend with this one.

Thanks
#26
6 bottles. You also get free delivery! Basically cant lose unless your application is rejected.
#27
I did this with nectar and got £25 worth of points. It's worth doing if you can control your spends. I am a credit card's nightmare and pay the bill off. Hah! no interest from me!!!

Definitely going to give this a try!
Let's just see if I get accepted though :?

Nice one!!!!

Cheapest thing you can buy in M&S? Not sure, but I recommend an individual portion of cheese for 40p or toffee mouse pot for 59p.

Their shares.:giggle:

Not bad =) Certainly one of the better card freebies around at the moment....the card itself looks pretty poor though, 18.6% APR typical! This is definitely a card to cut up and bin as soon as you get the wine...many many better deals out there for spending on.

Voted hot anyway as its effectivly a free case of wine :)
#31
I might keep it for buying currency. No charge when using and remember, M&S is commission free

'spend excludes M&S money products'.

Guess that means currency conversion wouldn't count.

Great Find!!!!
#34
Great find except I have been refused! Should have known that would happen.
Apparantly I don't earn enough.
Only the rich get freebies
#35
Anyone received theirs yet?

My wife was accepted and we are just waiting for the card to arrive to try out the deal.

Thats not true. I get cards all the time and I am unemployed (by choice).

Got my PIN Number today but no sign of card yet!

Updated:

Received my card this morning along with two vouchers worth £8 in bonus M&S points, one was for 500 M&S bonus points (worth £5) when you purchase any item of clothing (no min spend on that one) and one was worth 300 points (worth £3) when you spend at least £3 in the food department which I did at lunchtime today!
#39

Be aware that if you return any item that you purchase using the bonus points voucher's then the bonus points are deducted from your account, so best to make sure you use the bonus vouchers on a item that you are definately keeping!
