completely agree with you, ive been to most of these centres in the Uk and they really are absolute bollo*ks.

most of them have a 'limited' range of sea life
(and im being generous when im using the word limited!)

a kid with another couple who were just ahead of me managed to 'run' through the entire sea life centre of blackpool in 2 mins!

as always those who really want to sea sea life on a large scale, up close at half the price will need to hop over the pond.

why cant we have ONE of these seaworld places (as they have in the US), even if its in London?!

its a real shame so many of the best attractions are now a flight away in another country.

Besides Chester Zoo which is well worth a day out (even more so with this 2for1 which kellogs has at the mo) iv not enjoyed any of the overpriced attractions within the UK.

Alton Towers - too remote, too far, too pricey (without the offers) and an average of 90mins to get on the most popular rides which last the best part of 2 mins. i arrived at Alton Towers at 09.30 was there till 16.30 and i managed a paltry 4 rides for my >£20 entry fee.

Blackpool again too pricey to go on the rides, queues are short (hooray! usually < 10 mins), but from next year they are charging for entry into the themepark @ £5 each

Regardless, Children who have never been will still want to go! Better than paying full price. Besides my 2 quite enjoyed it.
