Hmmm Waterstones are in my bad books at the moment as still waiting on an order placed 3 weeks ago. Apparently they had a problem processing my payment and I had to phone them (for 20 mins) to which they still couldn't take payment. Then one of my books arrived (and charged to my card) but they're still saying they can't process payment - what's that all about????? Good find though for free delivery (if you get the stuff that is)

Are the books any cheaper than Amazon or elsewhere delivered?
I have a £10 giftcard I haven't used as they used to be way overpriced!

There prices in my opinion are just not that competative, both online an instore, as there main line of sale is books they want to competing with the likes of Amazon, and even Play.com

I've had a book voucher for almost 2 years that was an Xmas pressie and I've still to find a good priced book.

They still are over-priced but sometimes do stuff cheaper than other places. If you use the voucher online you can get 8% (I think) cashback too

amazon are better place for books imo (especially books for uni) as waterstones tend to sell @ RRP (in store its RRP almost guaranteed)

i still shop in waterstones in store as sometimes its worth paying the extra to get the book then and there but online its either eBay or amazon

but free P&P is hot but check amazon 1st as they tend to be cheaper and also have free P&P

check http://www.find-book.co.uk

Book depository and Amazon are usually the cheapest.

Bookkoob is a comparison site, he means 8% from watertones

Personally I'd avoid. Thanks for pointing the deal out, but in my opinion, Waterstones = massive rip-off. I've been able to get anything I've seen there very much cheaper online. And I doubt their online shop has different prices.

Except for the Family Guy Annual 2010 at 99p (got it in another post) - perhaps 10 copies of family guy...

Thanks!

Still waiting on the £1 annuals I ordered a few weeks ago.

Delivery isn't so great...I don't recall Waterstones for it's bargains unlike The Book People and other book sites. Hmm...but free delivery is nice.

Waterstones are another company that will take your order even if they have no hope of getting the book.
Because they use the general national bibliography they put all the information online on the off chance of getting a sale for the books they can get. But of course they don't tell you for a month or two.
hellofreebies#17
what a disapointment..ordered 13 annuals on the 7 jan..just recieved one on friday and another on monday....what a joke...rang to ask why their systems show in stock when in fact they are are not? was pointed out the terms and conditions that quotes they do not compensate for disapointment....and also told books are ordered to be published if need be...lol what a joke

will not use this company again. Still waiting for annuals ordered 3 weeks ago. Ordered 12 so far received 3. What a joke
quartpint#19
Just for info, I've found any books I've wanted are always cheaper online than in the store (more specifically travel books/maps, that Amazon don't do but also something else that I can't recall at present!).

Yeah - me too as well as a lot of other folk. Got one couple of days ago and that's been it - they keep saying problem with my card (though didn't stop them charging for the one they eventually had in stock) still waiting on others so just cancelled.
