These cost what, £2 to make, £3 wholesale, packaging, profit margins, profit = £10 freeview boxes you see today all non-HD capable based on 20year old MPEG2 codec on Freeview Digital TV.

I'd rather £5 voucher.

"To claim your set top digi-box simply collect 60 tokens differently dated tokens (including FOUR from the Mail on Sunday) from those that we will be printing in the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday until Saturday November 7.
Then send your name and address details with your 60 tokens and a cheque to cover postage to the address we will print towards the end of the promotion - we'll give you full details later"

So if you don't already get the Daily Mail, 56 papers x 50p = £28.00 + 4 x £1.50 (Sunday) = £6.00.

The "Free" box set costs you £34.00 + P&P :whistling:

Could be wrong...

Free doesnt Ryanair offer some thing for free or is that some thing else ive misunderstood.
Sooner go to Asda or Tesco and get one of their own brands for @ £15

*60* papers!?! That's a lot of bigotry to sift through - think I'll have to pass, although my gym does give this paper away free each day...

Well, if you buy the paper already it is. If you switch from buying the Star or the Sun or the Express then it's more or less free and you'll have the least worse newspaper:p

Ha! a newspaper bigot!:p

If you buy the Daily Fail anyway, then this is a pretty good deal, otherwise it's not worth buying.

Heck, it's not worth buying this paper under any circumstances, they always go excessive on the post and things like that. My nan won £25,000 on the weekend scratchcard thing, and was then told it was a 'printing error'. It's funny how you never hear of people winning...

It will definately be transmitted at the end of the year in the Liverpool/Manchester area, can't remember the link, but I read it a few days ago on a BBC web site. However, it is not known if there will be any set top boxes produced by that time to receive it ! :whistling:

BTW - The Tesco vouchers have been in the daily mail almost every weekend for the last 6 weeks. They are pants. Something like "spend £10 on fruit and veg and get £1 off". Or freezer food etc. Not £5 vouchers unfortunately... to get £20 off you'd have to spend around £120 on the products the specify.

Why is this in deals and not vouchers?

Because you have to buy the paper so there is a cost involved

The £20 is actualy made up of

The coupons in the Daily Mail on Saturday September 5 offer you £10 off your groceries, and on Sunday September 6, The Mail on Sunday offers you £10 off products in Tesco’s huge non-food range.

My guess is it'll be as yvonne1174 said earlier in the thread and not a £10 off a £XX spend
