Add on the shame of publicly buying the Daily Fail to the price.

If you get this radio well worth buying the paper just depends on how many copies you will need to qualify

Looks good; but reserving judgement atm. IE don't fancy the idea of buying the Daily Mail for 3 months to save up coupons; but will keep an eye on this until they publish more info. It's the "So don't miss this amazing offer starting exclusively in Saturday's Daily Mail" that worries me

I've added a direct link

any ideas of how many tokens?
#5
its just been on TV it's 60 tokens! If you don't read the mail and are only buying for token is it actually going to be any cheaper than just buying one?
#6
I work in a garage and this paper costs 50p on weekdays and I'm sure it's £1 on Sundays so you'll save about £5 if you collect from weekday papers but I bet there's P&P to go on as well.

Won't bother trying for this deal because all the illegal immigrants will probably get the radios first oO

Ah - another daily mail "collect 3000 copies of the daily mail and get a free xxx" offer. Great if you buy the paper anyway - otherwise a bad bad deal.

Worth it for free 6Music for life :)

Its not exactly going to be difficult to get a broader range than that provided by the Daily Mail...I get more impartial and balanced debate from my dog.

Someone else on here has quoted 50p in the week and £1 on a Saturday which equals £4 a week. Assuming you don't miss a day that would be 8 weeks at £4 plus 1day at £1 and 3 days at 50p so £34.50 in total, not £48. Add on the postage and packing and you'd probably be paying about £38 in total.

If you don't already get the paper, then you're saving a little bit over the price if bought from a retailer, (not an expensive club book.)

Only really a good deal if you already buy the paper, or know someone who does.

Sorry voted cold.

The idea of buying The Daily Mail to get a "free" radio and maybe save £5 in the process is not a deal in my opinion.

If that was the radio I wanted (and it's not) then I would spend the extra £5 and buy the radio outright, rather than throw any of my money towards that scum bag of a newspaper.

If you dont buy the paper but want a DAB radio I picked one of these up for £16 on ebay, not a bad little number for the kitchen and a lot cheaper than the £48

I checked these out the other day, but was put off by reading you need to be getting a strong signal to pick up all the stations.

Almost there :p

Saturdays is 80p, so £37.20 in total.

And P&P on these offers usually rivals eBay in the taking the mick stakes, probably looking at £6.99

60 tokens?! I could've bought the Daily Heil for a week but 8 weeks or so? No thanks!

Not voting hot or cold.

Good deal for the types who already buy the Daily Heil but for the rest of us? well you couldn't pay me to read any of that racist, mysoginist, homophobic crap. Not to mention read anything from that plonker Littlejohn harping on about immigrants in his coloumn all the time..............written straight from his gated mansion in Florida. :{

I'd rather wait until someone sells it and take my chances with eBay. X) Lets just hope the DAB radio doesn't come with a pencil moustache and swastika.

COLD from me, can't be asked to go and buy a paper I never read just for a DAB radio (already have 2 anyway)

BTW Asda in Llansamlet Swansea had some pure DAB radios halfprice about 4 weeks ago.

Worth looking in your local Asda... http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/pure-one-mini-dab-radio-reduced-to-/678463

Never mind paedophiles, I'd be more worried about the extreme likelihood that it will give you cancer. And cause a crash in house prices.

Battery life is going to be terrible. Pure quote 18 hours with an optional rechargeable battery pack (more money). Compare that to + 80hours for an analogue radio.

The Sony ICF-404L Portable Radio (not DAB) can be got on Play.com for £15.99 and the batteries will last for ever. I can't believe that the British public are gullible enough to buy into DAB.

I suspect that the influx of radios may also steal British jobs.

Always amazes me how many negative comments a Daily Mail deal gets, if these people don't like the Daily Mail then why do they buy it?
#30
The radio appears to be about as cheap as Pure can make it. You can probably only get Talksport with it, great for reactionary bigots though. Should get some good training in reading the rag whilst saving up for this cheap and nasty looking set. I doubt I'd want one though because all the immigrants near me are stealing the air and we all know radio waves can't travel well with out air, a fact I read in some newspaper.

It got to over 100 degrees but since the site redesign deals don't fall off the hot page when they get voted cold.

Strange that it got voted hot overnight then so quickly cold in the morning... What is it about this deal that appeals to the night shift?

Night shift probably get papers thrown in with work so they would get this free ;)

Can't believe I had to supply links ah well.

Ever heard of "second hand thinking".

http://fno.org/feb02/secondhand.html

We can't avoid it to some extent as we are the product of our environment and what our parents inflicted on us and we do the same to our children. If you form opinion for yourself then you won't be learning anything or doing yourself a favour by reading the Daily Mail.

Which is why after reading the Daily Mail I firmly believe that immigrants are stealing our air and that's the real reason why DAB is poor, especially in my area where there's plenty of Eastern europeans, also because they are different to us the poor quality of DAB doesn't affect them.

I just checked the dictionary and a synonym for impartial is Daily Mail, who'd have thought it?

I suppose if you're buying the paper every day anyway then this isn't a bad deal. However if you're buying the paper every day you need more than a cheap digital radio to improve your pathetic existence.

It wasn't obvious after the first couple of posts exactly how many tokens were required. 60 is taking the mickey somewhat, but it was always going to be quite a few. Good deal for those who already buy the paper.

Can anybody tell me what paper is worth buying. Right wing, left wing or celab based crap.

If you agree with something you never seem to notice how biased the paper is. That goes for all of them.
