The zoo parking situation is a bit of a nightmare on busy days. Might be easier doing the park and ride from the airport.

Parking costs about a fiver I think. When the zoo/holiday inn car park overflow, cars are sent into the Sykes building car park across the road. This make a right mess of the traffic flow as there's a man in a hi-vis coat collecting the money on the way in.

there are also buses going from princes street that go past the zoo. i know because my mate lives 10 minutes from there and works in the sykes building :)

might be helpful for people who don't drive like me, plus parking will be a nightmare on a free day. i'm getting the train to haymarket then the bus to the zoo.

Yeah, fair point. Not everyone has a car =/

I was heading out of town past the zoo today and it took a good 10 minutes to do half a mile by car. It looked ridiculously busy - people streaming across the road, covering the stairs at the entrance waiting to get in.

I'll guess your friend either does trees, Motorola, Proctor and Gamble or something else, but using a language other than English. :)
