Used one of these vouchers last year, no problems and no pressure to buy glasses!

Did you buy glasses? I'm sure they say free eyetest if you buy specs...
#6
Nope just went in for a consultation. I bought specs years ago and had to pay for my eye test at specsavers but im sure eyetests are now free. However i could be wrong.

I think it depends where you go and if they are doing it as an offer. Does anyone know opticians that let you keep a copy of your prescription? I need it for ordering contact lenses online.
#8
yup i got a copy of my prescription when i went for the free eye test

The link is for a half price eye test, not a free eye test! :-(

ohh yes, now I will find out if too much Masterbasting is really bad for the eyes.

This voucher's still working for free eye tests from D&A - used one today in fact! :)

Gotta get it emailed to you I think, but it's no hassle really. Go here to do so.

i thought eye tests were always free these days? I live in Scotland, maybe there is some NHS Scotland intervention going on...
#14
Do you have to buy specs from them? Anyone with any experience in using the voucher?

No you do not have to purchase specs but depending on the type of salesperson they may try to "persuade" you to buy them

You are allowed by law to request your prescription at any time. So if you have an eye test but do not buy specs you are still entitled to your prescription.

Precriptions are only valid legally for two years. Glasses are not allowed to be prescibed using a prescription over two years old.

Hope this helps
