Firstly i would like to say this was founded by ALIEN7 im just taking it 1 step further.

ok first what you do is order the recipe book that amazon and helmans are giving away for free. then you enter the code at checkout which is : HELLMANAMZN2

Oh. I thought you were duplicating the post in hot deals, but you mean it makes everything in your basket have free first class postage! Good thinking... but beware the wrath of amazon - they may cancel orders.

Strange... You definitely could navigate to it by searching term 'Hellmann's' last night. Doesn't work anymore...

Can you not add it to your basket then open a new browser and navigate back to your shopping basket via Nectar? it should surely be in there waiting for you.

Ahh, a Lost Planet fan. If you're enjoying the multiplayer demo go and use my 'one use only' code for the extra map which i've posted in the Misc. Musing section :)

Items: £16.83
Postage & Packing: £25.63
Hellmanns: -£5.99
Free Shipping: -£25.63
Order Total: £11.58

I chose Express delivery, and send my items out as they become available. That's why the postage was so high.
#24
Thanks OP. Also ordered another item, changed the shipping to guaranteed express and still it's fee! Excellent stuff!

Errr... Are you really THAT desperate for your items? Taking it to the extreme like this will surely bring it to amazon's attention a lot quicker and then bang goes the deal.

Why not just settle for free 1st class?? Amazon will be fine with the usual £5.99 discount as per their own instructions. But they will soon put a stop to it when they notice that they're wasting £25+ on postage for a few quid of stuff (of which probably about a pound is profit).

A) Amazon is a highly automated web system. They are just as likly to notice £5.99 as £25+
B) Two of the items I want before Christmas. The other item I'm not bothered about, and it takes 4 to 5 weeks for it, so therefore I have to use the split postage option, or wait until well after Christmas.
C) If you are so concerned about the ethics of exploiting a loophole in Amazon, then maybe we shouldn't be doing so, and should choose the paid postage?

The way to do it is to just enter the ISBN number (1904573576) into the search box with "books" selected and it should come up. You will then be able to get your nectar points!:-D

A) The odd human does work for amazon, hence nice loopholes or pricing errors being fixed on their website.
B) Fair enough, but you can see how £25 postage for about a tenner of goods sounds like blagging it purely for the sake of it.
C) I don't remember talking of any ethics, In fact it's nice to see a loophole being exploited as much as possible, but also, for as long as possible.

It just sounded like you were testing how much money Amazon would throw away at no real beneft to yourself. If the £25 postage really gets you somewhere worthwhile, then your making the most of it - and great! If it was just some sort of way of making amazon throw money away for the fun of it then that's not just exploiting a deal.

I dont really want to sound arsey, my last 2 weeks stuck either at home or in the hospital have turned me into a bit of a grumpy hermit

BTW, just so you know, I didn't give you any bad rep (I noticed the red square).
