Think you mean a carp joke X)

I lived and worked in Bradford for many years and I can confirm that not only do the shops sell soap but the locals actually buy it too and use it. Bradford is a wonderful city with great people. Friendly and welcoming. Perhaps try it out at some point rather than making incredibly ridiculous sweeping statements

Are you codding?
Pardon, you'll have to repeat that as my herring is not too good these days!

You're out of touch Andy: living relatively near to the city I can confirm that it is a squalid and most unappealing hole. Truly the town is dying on its @rse. It is grotty, depressed and beset with intractable social and economic problems (not least of which is the sinister racial divide of the place). Ask the vast majority of residents and they will tell you the same. The only people who tend to portray the place in a more favourable light are ex-residents with their rose-tinted spectacles who haven't visited the place in the last twenty years or Bradford Council's 'regeneration' department (an oxymoron if ever there was one).

Depends what you compare it to. To the rest of the North, it's about the same. Soem places are worse (East Ridings)
Empty shops, pound shops, pawn shops & bargain retailers make up the vast majority of the City centre trade, however we do have a wonderful new water feature that the council wasted £24 million on (yes twenty four MILLION).
Until Westfield decide to build their (very) long awaited shopping centre stear well clear & take a trip to Leeds or Huddersfield.
Deal gets heat though.

Anything south of Derbyshire (and therefore Thatcher-sympathising) is a ****.
See, we can all do sweeping statements.

Meh - cold, my missus runs a chippy. Free fish n chips for me all day long. Only joking good deal. I don‘t know how they can sell at that price tbh. Voted hot.
Btw our chippy is in Cornwall. Best there is outside of Scotland.
Ok might give you that one :) But yours will be poncy and not full of Northern Grit. Mind anybody100 miles away, either side of London And us northerners will be on your side.
im 54yrs old.
Welcome to the new England where the white working man is a minority. You already eat halal food without knowing, Sharia law coming soon. This is the world we live in.
The city centre is a joke of the highest order, no decent shops at all, the City has died, any local resident's with a modicum of sense are wanting to leave.

Great Daily Mail-style novelty account... very funny, I like it!
The "White working person" currently makes up 91% of the workforce - i.e. a safe majority in anyone's book - source http://www.idea.gov.uk/idk/aio/5689207
