Do you need an 'in date' passport, mine expired last February!
I've been delaying getting the picture taken as they cost about £7 here. £7 for 4 pics!! It's crazy!

So you cant spend £7 for 10 year passport.

Do they offer something else if you don't want the booze? Food instead? Or money off the crossings ☺️

Just take your own photo & upload via the link to make your own passport photos ... go to Asda or Boots to print & it will cost pence ;)https://www.epassportphoto.com/93/Free/United%20Kingdom/Passport/step1

Thanks love2save I'll try that. But the lady at Asda, when I asked about taking my own pics, said she could guarantee them. And that they print them slightly larger than the true passport size photo. So I just left it with me and my little boy having no passport. My husband and daughter do......so constantly being told that they'll go on holiday without us grrrrrr

So the £7.50 puts you off. What about the £72.50 (minimum) for the cost of the passport?

What about the cost of the passport which is £72 plus your transport to get to dover plus travel insurance plus spending money.

There are a number of towns and down the coast a great museum and all are near Calais
Great seafood restaurants and there is a great transport links too with a little imagination and effort an enjoyable daytrip.
Plus a chance to save a few pounds for any wine buffs too x

It's a great place to pay Pokemon Go, drop some essence and because there is nothing else around you get lots of weird and wonderful Pokemon sitting on the back of the boat

I know why so many migrants waiting in Calais now. Free ferry trip and better country!

When i print passport photos I just produce one photo that should be perfect, alongside one which is slightly smaller and one which is slightly larger. Can easily fit 6 photos on a standard print, so I waste 4, but it costs about 40p for instant shots - where I got to choose the picture before printing - which generally keeps the wife happier.

I wonder why...

I took up this deal 2 years ago. took a coach from.Victoria London to Dover, spent 2 nights at western best hotel and had a lovely day in calais. believe it or not we actually walked past the jungle instead of taking a cab.
don't be put off by the jungle Dover is a wonderful place to visit and so is calais.
in calais you can go to the beach, cite Europe and there's many museums in town. do some research and have a great day out!

look at all these anti-immigrant comments. I'm surprised the right wing nut jobs posting these comments never saw this offer in the daily mail anyway.
