Found this in news of the world yesterday. Link takes you straight to the page. You get five potato Vivaldi Tubers with one 30ltr and two 13ltr grow bags. Youll also receive 5 FREE packs of vegetable seeds.

Hope that helps someone. btw put this in deals as it is technically not a freebie cause you have to pay p&p.

Also if you click on all offers it takes you to a page with a list of items some of which are pay postage only too if your not interested in potatoes lol

good find! the grow bags alone must be worth the £3.99 delivery charge
#2
FAB... looks great
#3
cool nice spot
#4
good find but is that site safe enough to put your credit card details on? i noticed that it doesn't use a 3rd party payment provider, they just take the details on their own site.
#5
An trying to order but keeps coming up with 'Query failed : Table 'values_posdata.iin' doesn't exist' after i input my credit card details, anyone else having a problem?

Edit :Just phoned them and they placed the order that way.
#6
Damned if I can checkout on the site.
Keep getting an error message so have just e mailed them.

This is a THOMPSON & MORGAN offer re-badged.

https://secure.comodo.com/ttb_searcher/trustlogo?v_querytype=W&v_shortname=SC&v_search=https://www.plantoffers.com/billing.html&x=6&y=5

So IMHO should be perfectly safe. Similar offer in Gardeners World, though that is on another re-badged part of the T&M Site.

HOT Deal BTW!

Very strange. The e mail bounced back saying no such recipient.
Tried again with the same results.
Tried a Mastercard instead of Maestro and it went straight through.
Going to keep an eye on this.

Pretty easy to grow your own spuds.

If you grab any from your kitchen and stick them in enough earth they will sprout. Even if you cut up a potato the pieces will sprout. The bonus with something like this offer is probably that they will be more disease resistant.
#13
Nice one, ordered.

I think you has to supply your own compost.
#15
Thanks. Ordered
#16
Looks reputable as T&M & is secure server - looks like you get the tubers, seeds & bags but not compost to fill the bags but still a good deal!
#17
Just ordered by phone. Thanks OP.
#18
Excellent! Just bought one, looking forward to my own spuds now :-) Thanks!
#19

#24

For those of you who are getting into the growing spirit - somebody recently posted a deal to grow your own fig tree as well.
http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/368864/fig-tree-3-99-deliverd-guardianoffe
You have to pay postage of £3.99 but add it to the potato offer and you almost have a complete meal - just need someone to post 'grow your own cow' for £3.99 postage..... :)

This happened to me as well, but I resolved it by deleting the order completely and then adding to basket again.

Not so much disease resistant as diesease/parasite free. There are very tight regualtions on seed potatoes so you don't introduce a virus or parasite to your garden, no such guarantee on the ones lying about you kitchen/supermarket.

thanks freakie took about 3 attempts but all ordered now
#30
I have just filled everything in and then get an error message page, I tried to phone them and was kept in a queue for a while so hung up as it looks like a premium rate number. So now I don't know if the order has gone though or not
#31
Ordered thanks :) Was thinking about getting one of these . . . . at this price. . .got :)
#32
Cheers
I've been waiting for Suttons to send me one these for months! and it cost a lot more, i guess the quality will be less, but....
#33
presuming it doesn't include the compost and the grow bags are simply just plastic bags to fill yourself
#34
i cant seem to get the checkout to work

£1 for 20ltrs of compost is the going rate and a quids worth of seed potatoes. Not a bad deal but don't oversell it.

he mentioned the bags being worth the P&P alone, not the tubers or compost. These bags are normally quite pricey.

I grow potatoes in bags every year, works a treat. I just use rubble sack though with no probs. Strikes me that this aint really that hot. But if it sparks some interest for folks to try like with the strawbs, then go for it
#38
I don't get it, a 30l bag isn't acutally that big, why not buy a rubble sack like the guy said above.

Seeding potatoes from wilkos are a couple of quid - for a big bag. I also can't see where it mentions you get the compost. It just says 2x13l tubers (bags) and 1x30l. It doesnt mention compost or seeding potatoes for that matter, just 5 packs of seeds.

Can anyone specify what you actually get for your money? Is it just sacks and seeds?

you get 5 tubers (seeding potatoes) and 3 bags (one 30ltr and two 13ltr grow bag) and 5 packs of veg seeds.

the bags are specially designed to fold up as you add more soil so are better than rubble bags. 5 packs of veg seeds alone would set you back over a fiver in B&Q etc.
