Be gentle as this is my 1st post!

Halfords are currently giving away a Halfords Advanced 8 Piece Screwdriver Set worth £19.99 when you buy any Halfords fully or part synthetic 5L Oil.

You can reserve online and collect in-store - prices start at £18.99.

The oil and screwdriver set both have decent reviews. I actually purchased the screwdriver set alone a few years back, and seeing I needed to buy oil for my bike it was a very welcome surprise!

At my local store (Frome) there was no signs of this offer by the oil. I asked at the till, there was a display basket full of the screwdriver sets next to the till.

The website doesn't seem to mention how long the offers available - in hindsight I could've asked in store.

Their oil 10W/40 Part Synthetic Oil 5L is over priced, you can buy perfectly good brands like Graville/Comma
for around £15 which meets the specifications laid down by the vehicle manufactures.

Halfords oil is sourced from Comma, but a trade card brings the price right down - just about anyone with a level 3 certificate in engineering can get one:

Halfords also do instore quidco. Register your card @ https://www.quidco.com/in-store-cashback and get 4.5% back.
Screwdriver set is OK, not worth £19.99 but not useless. They do have magnetic ends - handy for those fiddly little screws

I'm sorry but a Mechanic really is not an Engineer.

Engineer's tackle the impossible, mechanics change parts on cars.

Actually, engineers tackle the possible; tackling the impossible is, by definition, pointless.

A bit like your comment. Appreciate the apology.
