I like the UK options - Hull and Aylesbury. :giggle:

I suspect the locations in the other countries are the equivalent type of destinations - i.e. places you'd only really go to if you were forced to.

There must be something that's worth seeing in Hull or Aylesbury.

Hi,
Excellent post.
Don't know the terms & conditions but can't you cash in your points for a shop voucher?
I'm sure I have read something about that before.
Can anybody shine some light on this.
Thanks.

Hmm doesnt seem worth going to most of those destinations though :x

AFAIK, you can't cash in Priority Club points.

I didn't know there was a cash/vouchers option with Priority Club.
Yes, for 16,000 points you chould stay for a few nights.
#13
ive had points for a while now, got 18000 odds....i find that whenever i try to use them its always 25000 for the dates or hotels i want......

worrth noting that these 5000 points nights might be midweek or selected dates, when the actual rooms would be cheap (ish) anyways
#14
The Aylesbury looks quite nice! It's not too far from Oxford or London

Also here shows what pts give how many nights - it seems you could possibly get 2 nights in Holiday Inn for 10,000pts per night. Or one night in Candlewood or Staybridge suites(??)
http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/pc/1/en/c/1/content/dec/pc/0/en/points/us/hre.html?rateCode=IVANI

Anyone knows if this is per room or per person?
#15
Hmm, I just applied for this and it didn't even ask for my priority club number, then by the time I'd finished it had changed to 10000 bonus points offer :?
#16
Deal as stated voted cold. Though I admit an excellent use of the caveats 'up to' and 'depending on the hotel and location'.

Stevey - it is per room sir & thanks for pointing out the 10000 points (for HI Express outside of major cities) per night that give more wider appeal to the deal that the original posts suggests.

I read somewhere (may on the confirmation page) that they will ask for the Priority Club number when you call to activate the card.

The normal offer is 10,000 bonus points. However, if you follow the link in the original post, you get 20,000.

Proofread - it's one word, not two.

Sorry, couldn't resist. :p

nice find but no good for me. thanks
#21
so you cant use this for Holiday Inn Dublin then?
#22
So do I have it right

Per room - therefore can take other half

4 nights Aylesbury
2 nights Holiday Inn
1 night Candlewood (only in USA!) or Staybridge suites (Only in USA apart from one in Liverpool !)

There has got to be one of these in a romantic location for night away!
#23
Thank you that is great... does anyone know if the points will be enough to pay for a 3 night stay in Lille Holiday Inn ?? Voted hot and applied for the card
#24
The internet site is quite good it tells you instantly if you are accepted, I have been and it says will receive my card within 10 days and details of my credit limit etc.... cant wait to book my free break and the card seems a good idea too so I will probably keep using it to earn future rewards... many thanks
#25
Full service Holiday Inns are 25000, some Express ones are 15000. We stayed at the London Mayfair Holiday Inn at the weekend for 25000 points for 1 night, you have to pay extra for breakfast if you buy with points. With breakfast being £14.95 each, we headed to the Starbucks over the road!
#26
I stayed at the Holiday Inn Chessington for 5000 points in March, the destinations change quite frequently. Worth noting that the rate is room only and the breakfast can be quite steep - £15 pp at Chessington although kids stay and eat free so better value for a family break. Also, you can purchase a certain amount of points to reach the amount needed for a stay, although there are limits set to this and I can't remember what they are. Details on the site though :)

I've applied for this as I'm already a priority club member.

I'll simply use the card once then cut it up.

I think you can use the points as part payment too, so you wouldn't need to stay in Hull to benefit :)

One word of caution. I signed up to an MBNA CC with a 10,000 bonus points offer in December and am still waiting for the points to be added, despite ringing 3/4 times. Still nothing to lose though.

Can't go wrong with priority club points in general though. Have had many a holiday stay paid for using them (though I did amass 330K points at one point) and there is generally an ICHotels group hotel where you want to go. They also don't expire which is great.

20k points will get you a nights stay in central london, or probably two outside london.

Just got a letter from Priority Club Visa. Says "Due to unprecedented demand, we are currently experiencing delay in production and dispatch of your new card. ... We expect the card to be delivered within the next 7 working days"
#35
Only thing worrying me I have had no email confirmation that my card is on its way, or even a confirmation they received and processed. Did anyone else get any kind of email ?

I don't remember getting any e-mails. However, my PIN arrived a few days ago and the card arrived yesterday.

I got my card too, on Friday. I have made a purchase however on my online account it is only showing my points balance as 100 (not 2000) and I don't know where those points came from. Will have to see what happens on my first statement
