...and now watch your internet grind to a halt.

Would be good to mention which BB package you got. £12.50 per month sounds about normal price for phone and 20gb limited BB (as retainer).

We've been with O2 for about 3 years now, paying £7.50 a month (because I'm on O2 pay monthly).

Was going to renew my contract to try get some free months or something, but after reading on here it seems that if you renew your contract then they will place you on one of their new contracts.
The package we are on now has unlimited downloads, whereas the new packages are restricted so I've just left mine as it is, can't be agged with the hassle.

I don't know if there is any other difference between the old and new packages (anyone else know?) but that probably explains the cold votes, as well as the fact that the deal is only available to existing customers who are out of contract.

My current package is COMPLETELY unlimited BB. The new packages are 100GB per month, plus they use traffic shaping on all p2p traffic.

I'm not moving from my current deal.

You should stay on your unlimited package if you can. ALL new packages are limited, even though o2 says "download as much as you want". This is a lie and you only find out when you read the "fair user policy". If you want to use P2P (torrent) downloads you better look for another ISP because o2 basically doesn't allow them (severely slowed down to dial-up speed).

Because o2 doean't reveal those facts when you sign up, I will always vote cold on o2 offers. The only way o2 will listen is when people vote with their feet.

o2 used to be good but is now gone completely seedy, and operates barely legal.
