Possible £50 quidco too!
Or £45.55 TCB possible!

Plus you can normally downgrade your contract in the last few months!

great deal

It's a Redemption deal BTW.

Sorry but misleading title - must pay £40.00 per month and then claim back 4 months free. Just that people post redemption deals at their 'actual' cost and then explain you can claim some back and their deals, sometimes unfairly, go freezing cold.

Total cost is £480 with the 'possibility' of getting £160 back towards the end of the years contract.

what do you mean redemption?

You get the phone. You pay £40 a month for the twelve months, but after four months, you have a small window to redeem the £160 back from them.

It's not a possibility you DO get your money back i phoned them today after 4-5 months you can send your statement back and they refund the money so it works out the same anyway

So many horror stories about redemption deals and companies trying to scam you out of the deals. If a company is that interested in giving you a deal with £££ off, then deduct it from your price ....
Was so interested in the deal till I saw the deathly ' Redemption ' in it...

Technically not as straight forward as this - to claim the 4 free months you must do the following:

4 months FREE line rental (Discount worth £160.00!)

For 4 months of your contract line rental is FREE! (Thereafter £40.00 per month). That's a saving of £160.00!

Your £160.00 saving is available by redemption in 5 stages: £32.00 at month 4, £32.00 at month 6, £32.00 at month 8, £32.00 at month 10, £32.00 at month 12

Payment by direct debit is mandatory.

Itemised billing is not included. (Can be requested at a charge of £1.50 per month)This is a minimum 12 month contract.

It does involve ensuring you complete each individual claim on time and in the correct manner - while easy for some, a lot of people forget. Not for one minute saying it is a poor deal but not as easy as your title and monthly figure would suggest.

£40/m ouch and for htc desire! better wait for the new HTC Sensation! but at least we see 12m contract back. oO

Redemption schemes are a nuisance to the customer, many stay away from them.
#14
For £40 a month I'd rather have a Desire HD :|
#15
It is a shame that people are voting this deal as cold just because it is a redemption deal as the price is actually not that bad at all. Not everyone forgets to claim their cash back and if you are an organised person then it is not a big deal keeping on top of the claims.

As for dial-a-phone, I have not had any problems with them and I currently have phones from them. My quidco has tracked fine and you can now e-mail them the cash back claims and they confirm that the application is successful by emailing you back.
#16
I currently have the Desire HD on a £30 contract with Orange without any redemption, 750 mins, 500 texts and 750mb download. So cold I'm afraid.

For gods sake, you are buying a smart phone so set reminders and repeat them daily until it is done. You put copies of a bill in an envelope and go to the post office and send it recorded delivery, it aint rocket science is it! People on this site will run around and do all sorts for a deal yet when it comes to redemptions most turn there nose up. Fair enough if it is a fly by night but this is dial a phone who have been around for years

voted hot , good to see some 12month contracts appearing again,
oh and for the people moaning about the redemption, this is a SMART phone you can set it to remind you to post your bills, most people who moan about redemption deals are the ones who were to stupid in the past to send their bills on time IMHO.

how long is your contract though? 12 months and you have a great deal. I agree that on the face of it that redepmtion deals are a bit of a pain in the ass, but if you do get your claim in on time then you really do get the money back, and dial-a-phone are usually good at honouring it through personal experience many years ago.

Vote cold if you like to see a deal go freezing but I personally dont think this deal is that bad condisdering the call/txt/data allowance considering the redemption...

I know it is easy for me and others but I was merely pointing out the fact that not everyone is as organised. I also clearly stated that it is "not a bad deal". My main point was that the title is somewhat misleading as 'some' only read the lead title and don't fully take on board what the deal entails.

That’s not the point really; you should mention Redemption in the title so that people that are allergic to them can ignore the deal, otherwise it is misleading.
#24
Ice COLD deal. Awful.
#25
OP you need to adjust your attitude, many of us here have experienced the nightmares of cashback by redemption. I say many, prolly most!

You obviously haven't. If you had you wouldn't be posting in the format you have.
#26
Not interested in any redemption deal, no matter how cheap it is in theory - just can't be bothered.
#27
Never had any problems with redemption deals. Just to balance things a little
#28
What's the point? The standard £25 per month deal on Three is better than this, without all the screwing around with a redemption!
