Another HTC Desire deal. (Sorry if it is posted already.. there are so many Desire deals now)
18 months contract - 10 months half price line rental = £390 for the life of contract
£35 quidco (£355 effectively)

300 mins, Unlimited Texts and Unlimited Emails
500MB Mobile Internet.

Sounds a good deal to me. Dialaphone is pretty good with cashbacks.

Excellent, keep em coming. I'm up for renewal next month with T-Mobile, and since they keep hiking their prices, I'm looking for alternatives.

If you sort the deals in dialaphone site by effective monthly cost, it will be one of the top deals for Desire.

not just that 'oranged' desire also has these sort of problems:

http://www.avforums.com/forums/htc-mobile-phone-discussions/1241264-desire-orange-facts-forced-apps.html

just a reminder for any potential htc owner though

there are other providers out there offering as such offer if not BETTER therefore dont ruin yourself and your new phone by having less storage, invisible and un-uninstallable apps and possibly higher chances of getting later fw updates

oh...no.. I just read through the link and it sounds really bad. I dont want all those crap orange apps in my phone. I am happy with my google apps. I am already considering cancelling the order with dialaphone. :-(

Does this really have Orange crap installed though? Most of these are only when you get it directly from the network. A lot of third party sites are buying unlocked desires outright and bundling sims and contracts with them.

take mobiles.co.uk for instance, if you buy from them, your getting a standard unlocked, unbranded desire just with an orange sim and deal.

This is often why third party sites are cheaper than going direct to the network themselves. Went into the Orange store the other day for example and the cheapest they had the desire for was £35 p/month, Almost laughed in there faces when the sales rep said it was an 'amazing deal'

I got a Sony Ericsson Vivaz through Dialaphone last month for my wife and it had all the vodafone customisation bits. It was certainly not unbranded!! Anybody got Desire from a 3rd party site in Orange network?

Is that the one for £25? I think there are better deals to be had. For instance, buying the £30 pm from their website and getting £150 quidco works out cheaper than this!

Does anyone know how good dial a phone are with redemption offers?

Doh! Meant to put the price down, yes this is the £25 offer but as you've just highlighted, I'd be better off going through Quidco and getting £150 back in a few weeks time.

How long does it actually take to get your £150 payable through quidco?

Can anyone with a desire explain if 500mb is enough, that seems to be the standard coming out from networks now.

If heard some conflicting stories, it seems that many people are saying 500mb is absolutely huge amounts yet have read quite a few people with HTC phones complaining about huge data usage. Are HTC phones with Sense particularly data heavy?

Thinking about it, even the weather app, over the course of a month, if it is constantly polling might use quite a bit of data? It seems stupid to get a fancy phone like this and then to have to limit using or turning off the features which make it so good.

T-mobile offer better deals with data, but there is a reason for this, there network completely sucks. Vodaphone seem to have become more resistrctive with there 500mb fair usage, o2 are expensive compared to other networks and not seen a good o2 deal on the desire yet and i will stay away from 3 thank you very much!

Since T-Mobile have hiked their prices on the Desire yet again, I need to keep an eye on what else is available as I am up for renewal in a couple of weeks. Not sure how much I use each month with my G1, I do run email, Twitter and browsing, so I have reservations about the 500MB limit,

Just got offered this deal from Vodafone:

HTC Desire @ £70

300 minutes

Unlimited sms (subject to fair usage policy of 3000sms)

Unlimited internet (subject to a fair usage policy of 500mb per month)

£20 per month

18 month deal

Or a free handset on the same deal but for 24 months

Good? Bad? Indifferent?

I think the 18th month deal works out £430 which is pretty good, Vodafone have stopped offering the £15 deal through their twitter account. I'm hoping their are better deals to come.

Yeah, I'd say that's a good deal right now, I'd happily accept that if T-Mobile offered it.
