Good for this particular deal, but cold for 10% FVF and forcing you to accept PP who want another 3%.

Was charged over £40 in paypal and ebay fees the other week to sell a Nikon camera for just under £400. Total con artists! It's cheaper to just use a buy now auction where the final value percentage is about 3%. Either way they have got you by the nuts!

ebay.com is ending listing fees for <50 items per month, and switching to final price+pp fees (so ending shipping charge scammers) in april.

ebay.co.uk gets a crappy free weekend.

Not hot
too many charges
better to do a buy it now

Havent sold on eBay for ages. Either use local freeads or if selling my CDs/Records http://www.discogs.com . Best thing about Discogs is that the fees are lower, no insertion fee, and everything I've sold so far has gone for more than it would have done on eBay.

Is it worth it for selling DVDs & books or are they still going to take a large slice of the pittance I make?

Used ebay for years, have almost 4000 feedback now. Gotta say it's gone downhill as a place to sell. Too many fees now, too many rules and they go out of their way to promote buisness sellers and just dont seem to care for the average person.

Don't bother tmelt, it will cost you dear. You do all the running and they cream the profits.

Yeah, agreed. Anyone got suggestions for where else to sell DVDs and books though?
I normally try to get rid of them at car boots, but you're lucky to get £1 each.

Yeah ebay is crap. It is lot better to sell your items on car boot where nobody want to pay more than 1 pound... Poeple are lazy to do ebay it is why they saying it`s crap. To many fees??? 10% for ebay + 3% for papypal or do collection for free. Anyone know about this, so if you don`t want to pay this go to car boot and pay 10-15 pounds for pitch HAHAHA
