Text ECON136 to 60300 for your free copy of The Economist.
Found on a leaflet in a newspaper.

Texted today (charged at one text at mobile provider's usual text messaging rate).
I was immediately called back by a lovely lady who guessed I was a student and then offered me a further 12 issues for £1.

That's 13 issues for £1!
Which beats every deal out there at the moment
And you get access to The Economist's premium on line content.

You can also call 08453578007 and quote QJPY. Calls cost up to 2p/min plus a 6p set up fee from a BT landline. Lines open 8am to 9pm.
But I recommend the texting route - since the call is at no cost to you.

Even if you aren't a student you can still get your free issue and perhaps they have some better subscription deals than the current ones.

This is my first deal and I hope it makes someone as happy as it made me :)

EDIT: 2/2/2010
Yesterday I also received a free copy of "The World in 2010" which is worth £5.50

I am so very very very Happy with this deal :)

great just ordered :)

Cheers H&R

I complete my current subscription at the end of the month (after completing the last offer). So 25 issues for £1 is not bad.

This deserves a bump as it's not got the heat it deserves!

Timing is everything

Best time to post is in the evening, but you can get unlucky if a shed load of deals get posted at the same time, as it means the newest ones gets pushed back

I received earlier a phone call (020 79253600) from a person who was impersonating The Economist and he offered me a subscription of 12 issues for £1.
Artlessly I accepted. Does anyone know if it is reliable or kind of fraud?
I'm a bit worried...

Thanks
