That's being rather harsh... all 8 reviews on Amazon give it a 5/5!

Usually any copy given away with a magazine is abridged, you might want to check that's not the case here.

The book isn't great. I bought the magazine for a flight last week and got bored of the book within minutes. It's basically May ranting over about 40 topics, with each rant lasting three or four pages.

I wonder where he got that idea from. Can't think of anyone else he knows who has published a series books following that format. :whistling:

sorry but whats the difference?

Can't confirm or deny, but if it isthe full book then I can see why they were giving it away free.

if this is like his other book (Notes from the hard shoulder) which is a collection of his newpaper column then I would not recommend it. It's not cutting enough to be clarkson-esque in ranting and frankly i found it very boring, not especially well written and if it does work as a newpaper column, it doesnt work as a book.

I get the subscription - it is attached with the magazine and is no bar coded promo stock only - is this the way Captain Slow gets to the top of the books charts?!?!?
#15
Hmmm, bedtime reading methinks - a guaranteed good nights sleep after 5 mins.

HOT.

One's the full version and the other is abridged? Not sure how to make that easier without being insulting.
