Had my eye on this hot tub for a while and there was an add on deal on previously giving £50 off the £79.99 entertainment system when you bought it with the hot tub. The entertainment system has now been reduced to £50 and the offer still stands clearing the entire cost of the speaker. Roll on Saturday when mine is delivered!!

...or possibly go for this one and swap out that piddly screen for a 65" oled. Perfect for watching bargain hunt on a weekday...

These are great to assess whether you will actually use it before spending thousands.... what I would add is if plan to have more than 2 adults and a child don't go for anything smaller than the Paris.... it states 4-6 people... yeah I'm sure ... if you all stand up!!

Plus delivery costs unless there's a way of getting this free?

I've seen this type of comment a few times on these hot tubs but don't really get it. Why the hate on them? Not a council tenant myself but quite fancy one.

I don't think the hate is justified either. Now if we're talking iPhone 7s and Galaxy S8's in the hands of working class. That's something that should be discouraged.

Not sure if your trolling or serious. I was gifted one, it gets used is set up never lived near a council estate so guess cant comment on whether the people that do buy a lot of these. We are considering upgrading to something far more expensive but have access to a spa at the gym without need to maintain. They are good value and a bit of fun. Maybe I just need a glass of whatever you are drinking.

Don't have a glass of what they are drinking - it sounds like you have the means to drink something FAR more expensive

Nah you probably live in a house owned by a private landlord who are well known for renting to charvers on the dole, you don't happen to go down to ASDA in your pajamas do you?

Seriously, wish the house I bought was near council properties rather than houses rented by private landlords..

Drinking? You've lost me. I was being serious. Why would I be trolling? I posted the deal!
I just never realised there are people that have that much time on their hands to comment hate on this site... why would anyone even bother lol!! Like I said I find it hilarious... and dreadfully sad in equal measure

Slightly related, i am thinking of buying the Hawaii Airjet Pro when stock is cheaper, much better set up with the power water jets etc, although obviously far more expensive! With 'proper' hot tubs costing a minimum of £4500 i think these are a great idea to see if you would get the use out of it, or, as in my case, deciding whether to make changes to my patio and wiring in order to accommodate a full-size one. Don't know why people would imply they are just for council house tenants, as if no-one in a council house deserves anything nice at all, but i guess some people's self-esteem must be pretty low...

Seems like a good enough deal but find out first which model of the hot tub it is - the 2017 Miami allows the heater and air-jets to work at the same time, whereas previous versions don't, which means the water can cool down pretty quickly when the bubbles are on, I believe this is the old model but can't be sure...

Just be mindful of the electric bills if you're planning on having one of these. We got one last year as I had a load of free Argos vouchers and the kids wanted it (seemed more fun than the alternative I was going to buy, a new iron), finally got around to filling it a few weeks ago. Didn't write down the exact readings but when it was on we figured it would be using around £30-40 a month to keep it running, clean and heated. If you don't keep it running (as we discovered a week or so later) the water goes cloudy and manky, even with chemicals in it. That's all probably old news to you seasoned pros, but we were complete hot-tub virgins. We'll probably keep it as a novelty item that we fill for a few weekends a year.

I find it hard to understand that we mostly agree with green issues: recycle our rubbish, insulate our houses, buy slightly more efficient cars and appliances, and then some decide it is okay to heat tons of water in their garden and let it evaporate into the atmosphere.
People are strange.

Well you decided it was okay to waste electricity by giving your opinion via digital medium about what other people do. So seems you too are not perfect in your "green" credentails.

I have just read through the Q&A's on the Argos website. A customer has asked if you can run the heater and the bubbles at the same time, and an Argos employee has answered the question saying yes:-

Q Can you use the heater while the bubbles are working

Hi Shaz,

I have checked with the manufacturer and they state - 'Yes, with our latest integrated technology you can heat the hot tub, run the massage system and filter the water simultaneously using just the pump.'

Thanks for using Argos Q&A

If that is truly the case them it makes this a very good deal, far cheaper than elsewhere, but i would still be wary of the reply, until very recently they will still selling the old model even though the 2017 was out...

Might be worth a personal email to customer services before ordering just in case, at least that way if it doesnt work as expected then there should be no problem getting a refund.

I don't have any green credentials: I have two cars (including a Porsche), two motorbikes and 3 houses. I still think it is really odd that people pretend to care about saving the world (...but only when it is someone else's responsibility, someone like the government) but then heat several tons of water in their garden to 20c-40c above the ambient temperature, and just let in evaporate away into the ether. In doing so they use about the same amount of electricity as the rest of their household (I generally refuse to fit 20A or 32A external circuits if I think they will be used to heat hot tubs for that reason).
I conclude only that: energy is still far too cheap and that people are really odd.

Energy isn't far too cheap, it is just that sometimes personal enjoyment of life counts for more than worrying about the effect of your actions on the world as a whole, and that is the way it should be too i think as otherwise you wouldn't do anything as every last thing you do has a detrimental effect on the environment.

Energy is far too cheap if people can afford to use 6 kWH per day heating their outside tubs, by the same token water is far too cheap when it only costs £4 to empty and fill the tub with drinking quality water weekly.

If you check the questions and answers from just a month ago it states it is not the 2017 model, in which case you cannot heat and pump the bubbles at the same time.

Worth a try. If you get it home and it doesnt, then surely you can return it, but also print the Q&A part where the Argos member of staff has confirmed that they do work together. Maybe get a discount off a different model if you complain hard enough so may still be a win win situation.
