I think this just covers you on legal costs if you're in an accident and have to hire a lawyer to handle it though, and not routine every day cost of fixing your car if somebody breaks it?
#3
No this is in place of the legal cover you pay for and covers everything and more that what the normal cover with your insurance would.

I think you'll find it's just a variation on the no win, no fee, system for various compensations run by some ambulance-chasing lawyers. If they think you have a claim they'll do the work and take a generous cut.

Nice one.....

saves paying £20 + on your motor insurance policy though. i cancelled mine this year as they had put the premium up even though i hadnt claimed. if someone bashes me i will go for a no win no fee company.
#7
Possibly true but it saves you buy legal cover with your policy.

Paying for legal cover is the biggest scam I've ever heard. I was offered this with my insurance this year and assumed THEY were paying me for the cover, after all, why the hell would I pay them for legal cover when the phone book is stuffed with legal firms offering 'no win - no fee' services.

So no deal in my opinion - you get this free by looking in the phone book.

To those hoping to rely on no win no fee you'll be very quickly surprised how in fact no fee does not mean free, most will require you to take out a post event insurance policy, which, by its very nature,, will not be cheap, then most will take a large slice of the pie, plus a win fee plus their fees so if you win, and you probably will as they will undertake a viability check, usually 90% chance of success +, say you win £50,000, you'll probably see less than £10,000 personally.

Not to mention £100,000 really won't get you very far if it's paying for everything, especially if if makes it as far as a trail, your £100,000 will run out very quickly.

IMHO - I think you will find that many No Win No Fee services will cherry pick only the cases that have a good chance of winning to ensure they get a return on their investment.
If you pay for legal cover you should get represented regardless.

:xThis is complete and utter cods whallop!!!!!!!:x

I can speak from experience. I work for a firm that offers no win no fee. We do not take out any policies which require the client to pay for a thing and we do not take any money from the client's damages whatsoever!!!!!!!!!! However I appreciate there are lots of Claims Management Companies out there that do this type of thing.

The only thing legal expense cover does is restrict your choice of legal adviser. The Legal Expense Insurers sell the claim onto a legal firm (usually a million miles away from you) and you cannot simply chose who you want to act.

If you are ever in need of legal advice, walk into a high street firm of Solicitors and ask, if in doubt telephone the Law Society.

Rubbish, total rubbish.

Yes - I think that if they take the case on you will get 100% - but ....

Try googling no win no fee - ".......will tell you whether your case is suitable for a no win no fee agreement"

Lets face it - Legal work is very expensive and if there is only a 50/50 chance of winning ?????

Plus what if the legal representation is to defend you - so there is little chance of your legal fees being paid by the other party - who is going to take that on for nothing?
[Holiday Pirates]#17
I havent even looked at the site but I am still certain that this policy will only be for non fault!!!!!!!

And anyway you wont need to defend any claim because your insurance company deal with it!!!
#18
No Win no fee solicitors will take on any case they are confident of winning
[Holiday Pirates]#19
Wow only £300 thats quite reasonable nowadays, most claims management companies sell for as much as £500 down our way!

This policy is completely not necessary. All this company does is sell your claim onto a firm for £300 and you get no say in the matter as to who that firm will be or where they are or even if they are going to take a percentage of your money!!!

Beware thats what I say!

I used to work for a high street insurance broker and we used to charge £20 a year for legal cover. The company behind our legal cover was Helphire. What we didn't mention was that you can go direct to Helphire for £10 for each accident. So, unless you have more than 2 accidents a year, you were better off not taking the legal cover and just paying £10 when you needed to.

(I'm not trying to recommend Helphire, just pointing out that there are alternatives to paying £20 a year for legal cover).

Legal cover is for everything, no win no fee is usually personal injury.
#23
Its just a way of getting customers to sell on without chasing ambulances.

Again, a load of rubbish. No win / no fee is NOT exclusive to any branch of litigation.

Very well if you say so, lets hops you don't ever need one then shall we. If you don't get a costs order in your favour then there is only one place their fees are coming from, including the win fee...or do you think they do this out of the kindness of their heart?!?

If you get a costs order against you your insurance are liable to pay for it!!!!!! Legal Expense Insurance is to cover your own legal expenses in non fault cases. i.e if you have an accident and are not to blame this will cover your legal fees to make a claim against the other driver which millions and millions of firms will take on not only for free but offer incentives for the business.
