I voted cold as this obviously isnt a free tv. Its built into the overall price your paying over the contract period. The phone is probably worth no more than £20 and the tariff is pretty basic.

That's interesting - they usually wait until the cooling off period has expired, so you can't return the item because you changed your mind and then keep the "gift".

Looking at the T&Cs (I have only had a brief look) it only seems to state...
"16.18. If you return your mobile phone contract within the 7 day peace of mind guarantee, then you must return all free accessories in the original packaging."

I would not class a TV as an accessory to the phone, it is described as a free gift, so does that mean we can send the phone back, cancel the contract and keep the telly :-)

Free gifts are only available as part of a purchase. Rightly so, if you return the main product you also have to return the Free gift. Just as the main product has a warranty you can also expect the free gift to have a warranty or be at least be usable.
