Good deal for the phone and free calls and txts, can work out very expensive if u go over the 100minutes as then charged at 40p per min to other mobiles (minimum charge of 40p even if u talk for 1 sec or get voicemail) so be carefull my girlfriends 100 min deal ended up costing her £45 a month.

100mins and 100Text tied on a 18 month contract ... errrr NO. Might be useful for those who dont make many calls :)

woah thats a very simplistic p.o.v i know i make very little calls and texts...so at 8.50 its a sweet deal. we are not all glued to our mobiles u know!

great deal thanks for posting

Seems a great deal. thanks for post.

looks like quidco do a £30 cashback on a pay monthly contract with virgin mobile so now even a better deal so go get it !
#7
good deal, hot, has been up there a little while.
Can also get the Samsung G600 on same tariff, or you could last time I looked.

I found LG KC780 with 8 megapixal camera for £15 per month for 18 months, with 18 months half price via redemption from PHONES4U , PLUS £30 CASBACK from Quidco.

That is for 100 minutes and 100 texts.

Already done one cashback deal with Phones4u and it has worked out very straightforward.

depends if you want to take a slight risk, but good deal if you do.

You also get 3 months FREE, i did anyway, as I got this phone about a month ago & im currently using it completely free of charge

must agree. i pay £10 a month on my payandgo and get a much better deal than this. plus no contract.
#10
If you are a small/medium user this is a very good phone, I bought it before Xmas from CPW.

I wouldnt dream of getting it on a contract though as its a <£100 phone. Im not a great user of mins but text way more than 500 so the deal wouldnt be for me anyway.
#11
I rarely use anything like 100 minutes but I'd almost certainly go over on texts every month.
#12
I got the same deal from 3 18 months ago for the wife , might as well have bought her the 45 a month phone , 100 mins doesnt go very far.

Then again, for people who make very few, or no calls, they may as well get this on PAYG for under £100 from CPWH (and it will probably be unlocked too).

Voted hot. But, one question, is the phone locked to Virgin?

That`s right. I was gonna go payg, but I figure what with not having to buy a new phone which would have been about £70 and £30 cashback from quidco. I get the 100 mintues and 100 txt a month for about £3. Not bad in my book

personally I don`t really think you can call £8.50 a month with free phone being tied down!
#19
I bought this phone from carphonewarehouse a few months ago. you can get it on pay as you go for about £95 + 5% quidco. You can get this on virgin, t mobile and 02. Its a great little phone and a bargain for under £100. you WILL need to buy a MICRO SD memory card because the phone memory isnt too great. the maximum memory card it can hold is 8GB. i got the sandisk one from play.com which is only about £10.

100 text and 100 minutes is no where near enough for me, i would just end up paying loads more (also plus 15% VAT). I recommened going onto O2 simplicity, you can get great deals and if your not happy you can cancel it straight away.

Also why would you want to be tied down for 18 MONTHS with so few minutes and texts!?!? - its just another way that the thieving phone companies can trick you into paying more for a £100 phone

any phone i have bought from virgin has alwaysbeen locked to them , however they unlock for free on payg after you have spent £30 on it , i guess with contract the will unlock at end of contract

Wow: great deal.

Wish I'd seen it just a bit earlier: yesterday I signed up for a new 18month contract with O2 (Samsung G600, £15 p.m. for 75 min and unlimited texts)

But you'll have a 14 day cooling off period where you can legally cancel the contract. If you want to change, phone O2 and tell them you want to cancel, it's a statutory thing so they can't refuse.

They no longer offer this and will charge you for unlocking the phone, I think it was a £15 charge

i can see the pros and cons in this - i mean i have a really old phone and want a new one, but i only put about £10 per month on at the most, but i pay 12p per minute for calls and 12p per text. with this id be getting what i usually would need to pay £24 for and getting it for £8.50 on contract.

ok so its 18 months, and 18 x £8.50 = £153 less quidco = £123 - but at least id have a phone worth a decent amount and id have 100 texts (i dont used near that but thats because of my current tarrif on PAYG) and 100 mins of calls per month, its not too bad.

im umming and ahhing over it.

Because some people only use under 100 minutes and texts per month?

The cost of the £100 to buy this on PAYG divided by 18 (for the equvelant of the Virgin contract) is £5.55 per month. Take away £30 for Quidco and you have a total of £4 a month.
#27
this is a very good deal no cashback hassle and for £8.50 thats a bargain im paying £15 on orange no contract and no phone get only 100 mins and unlimted texts.
#28

Voted hot but just for info to anybody else (like me) that bothers with cashback deals...you can get this LG Cookie on a new contract at Phones4U for 18 months on T-Mobile with 13 months free line rental (by way of cashback) with 200mins&200texts per month which works out as £5.55/month. With £30 possible from Quidco too makes it potentially only £3.88/month
Here's the link to that deal

Its a good deal, especially if you want a cool phone for your kids. I got one for my daughter (15) on the £14 a month deal, she loves it.

You'll probably see it tracking tomorrow. Don't forget though that if you haven't gone trhough Quidco before, they'll take off their admin fee of £6 from your first payment. You'll need to go back into your account details and enter your bank details or your PayPal account info to make sure they have somewhere to pay it too. You'll get the money in about 3 - 4 months.

ive just got it ..ive been told of my mate that after the contracts up i can cancel it and keep the phone and just get it unlocked and dont stay with virgin is this true?
