Amazon prices are always on the move so we'll have to see what the next couple of weeks bring. I don't doubt that there'll be a decent bargain at some point, though.

It would be hot if TP-Link TL-SG105 was BOGOF but it isn't :(

They are probably trying to get rid of some archer stock. This is at least the third offer this month I've seen relating to that line of router. Judging by the feedback I don't blame em.

Emm, AC range is still pretty new to the market, i think they are trying to push this range into the market heavily, hence you can see decent deals now and then. not sure if you noticed Netgear did a deal on their ac range extender last week as well.

anyway, good for us good for consumer. :)

Yeah, they seem to offer the best performance right now. I just bagged them at £36.89 with the free switch included though it looks like I got the last ones as they're showing as temporarily out of stock now.

Stupid networking question: If I have the following setup with a router on FAST ETHERNET only, will I still be able to acheive gigabit performance when backing up from the PC1 to NAS or will it only work at slowest interface (limited here by the 100mbps router, which is the other side of the mains wiring)?

So the PC and the NAS are both connected to the same Gigabit switch? Yeah, you'll get Gigabit speeds.
