Apparently not

"We don’t allow you to use data for calls over the internet (this is sometimes called VOIP), sharing data files, giving other people access to your mobile over the internet or using your mobile as a modem (this is sometimes called tethering). If you do, we can block access to these services or restrict performance, by reducing the speeds at which you can use the internet to download or upload content."

Short answer: No.

I believe this was discussed in the "Sainsbury’s two free £15 bundles" thread.

I'm sure I did tether, in the past, as these deals came up quite a few times this year.

As it is a limited data allowance (2GB) it would make no sense for them to not allow it.

thanks for this

If anyone still needs a code PM me I've got two going?
#17
FYI: Activated one of these Kelloggs SIMs in early December and the bundle didn't get automatically added within 72hrs (was asked to allow another 48hrs when not there after 24hrs) but quickly added once chased them.

sorry, I'm confused

where does the code from a cereal packet come into it?

Followed this link http://www.phoneshopbysainsburys.co.uk/twofreebundles and there's no mention of a code being needed

Are there 2 lots of 3 months for £15 available then? Thanks

There are 2 separate offers. The link in this post is for a free sim that gives you 800 minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB of data - you will need to enter a code.

The link that you have clicked on gives you 3 months for the price of one so no code required but £15 purchase needed

iphone is limited by design to only tether if the network is known to it, and Sainsburys might not be one of those in the list it knows.
Not sure about mi-fi, but my Android tethered from it with no issues.

update: you only have a few more days to use your code

HOWEVER: they are no longer offering to send this sim card out as they are discontinuing this service in january.

HOWEVER: if you have an unused code phone sainsburys on 0333 304 8047 once anwsered press 1 on your keypad and you will be put through to their customer service team, they will take your code, name and address and send you a £20 Gift Voucher as a replacement offer which you can use in any Sainsburys shop to buy anything to its Value

excellent
