I was looking to renew my car insurance and came across this offer.
Sorry if this has been posted before.

FREE MOT & Tesco Service Offer
New customers who buy Tesco Car or Van insurance online by 15th September 2010 will get more than 12 months of great value cover. You will also get a FREE MOT and Tesco 18 point service at Nationwide or Halfords Autocentres.

DON'T FORGET - the FREE MOT and Tesco Service is only available online!
___________________________

Unfortunately you won't get any cashback from any of the cashback sites. however tesco normally offer you a decent quote for motor insurance.
I know Nationwide isn't the best out there but if both MOT and service come free with a cheap insurance policy, i think its a great offer :)

The service is with Halfords which is ok if you have one of their service centres near you, also if you look at the service details all they do it change the oil, the rest of it is just checking lights and fluid levels.. free MOT is pretty good though but chances are they will find something that needs fixing that they can charge you for to get their money back.. but it's free so has to be a hot deal

Only a hot deal if the insurance is good value and if Halfrauds use decent oil.
#3
As said above only works out great if your insurance quote is great in the first place.

Worth filling in the online quote form to find out!

Just filled it in and Tesco were about £200 more then Churchill (who are quite expensive) - Shocked me!
#5
me too, a few hundred more. 527 for a crappy old for KA...
#6
Just done it myself and they are £212 more expensive than my renewal price.
They can stick their "FREE" MOT and service up their exhaust pipe.
#7
I didn't find them good value - if they'd thrown in a new Rolls then I'd have taken it.

Wierd....I tried myself and tesco was much cheaper than my current insurer co-oparative's renewal quote. sainsbury's, AVIVA & RAC were way too expensive.

But few weeks later I found just cost £ 8 for each plate. So I never ever go back Kwit-fit again.

very basic service of which half is done for the MOT anyway

its basically a non-synthetic oil and filter change!

Insurance was up for renewal and tesco quoted me about £150 more than other companies like aviva, morethan, churchill,

it's good if u actually get a decent quote but this is cold for me.
