Please don't flame me as this is my first post!

Just call Virgin Mobile or Vrgin Media sales to get the offer:

On Friday 31 October we're launching our strongest PAYG offer to date, and it's exclusive to Media customers!

We'll be offering Media customers the chance to unwrap a free PAYG phone just in time for Christmas. All they need to do is pre-purchase £20 of airtime - this can be used by the customer for calls and texts however they like, and there's no expiry date for when they've got to be used by.

The offer
A free Nokia 2600 PAYG phone, when bought with £20 airtime
Available to Virgin Media cable or non-cable customers

Limit of two free phones per Virgin Media account holder
Available with Daily Bonus and top up and get (free weekend texts with £10 top up)
Not available with the Media SIM only or Media PAYG bundles
The standard delivery charge of £4.99 will apply.

When will it be available?
This great PAYG offer will be available from Friday 31 October until 31 December.

Hope someone finds it useful!

Gollywood, do it yourself for free?
Just google Nokia phone unlocker code generator and you will get loads of reasults
#16
Don't expect to make a lot of profit. They going on eBay for around 20 quid, so useless if you don't need credit really.

Good find anyway. Heat added

Are you sure that's not the old 2600, not the confusingly titled new 'classic' 2600. New Nokias, even budget ones are a pain to unlock unless you use phone demon or similar.
#21
I think i'll get 1 of these for my eldest daughter as we're with VM. Sounds ideal for her, thanks for the heads up :) HOT
#22
Good deal. Just bear in mind that the £20 credit is preloaded on the SIM and cannot be transferred to another account.

I checked with the MSEexpert unlockers - had to be professionally done - no free unlocking
#24
Sorry Gollywood, assumed as it was so basic it would be old software and easy to do.
My mistake.

Anybody else get one today and received their airtime voucher?

The airtime should be preloaded on the SIM. They aren't sending out separate vouchers, as I mentioned earlier in the thread.

You are right charlie, they told me this when I placed my order:thumbsup:

Unfortunately, when I asked whether they were sending an airtime voucher, they told me yes. I double checked by asking if I could use this voucher on another phone and again they said yes. I ordered this deal on that basis.
:x
After several unsuccessful discussions with the off-shore Customer Services and the Sales team, being passed around loads of times, lots of 'I will have to speak to my manager', promised returned calls that never happened and over an hour of my time wasted, I eventually got a credit of £20 applied to my phone and an apology.

Not quite sure it was worth all the hassle and I am now pretty cheesed off at the appalling level of service I encountered (which is not what I have come to expect from Vitgin Mobile). I previously advocated Virgin Mobile as I have always found them helpful and efficient but definitely not so in this experience. I will think twice before recommending them in future.

Thanks to the OP for the deal info as it is a nice little basic phone. Heat and rep left.

In Argos you can get this on T Mobile for £29.99 with £60 worth of EA downloads. I can't find a thing about this on google, and when I treid to buy in store there was no leaflet. How does the deal work? I think it is better than the Virgin deal, but as Argos dont give a refund, what are my options? Thanks for any help - it is the large Christmas catalogue where it is advertised by the way.
#37
i rang virgin mobile, they never asked me for any virgin media account details? are you sure its only for virgin media customers?! the guy said he wasnt bothered if i was or not
#38
I'm on VM cable services anyway, but they never asked me for the number. I'm also on the V mobile service and she just took my V mobile number and proceeded from there. Hope they credit my existing acct and not the new SIM. Will be transfering the credit otherwise.

I agree with you. Never had a problem with Virgin mobile but Virgin Media is different. SO useless! EXTREMELY BAD customer service when I tried to install broadband at home.
And now calling for this deal was a hassle but managed to get it done in the end.
Thanks OP. H&R added.

Apparently in the T&C, you can also get it from Zavvi stores, which probably means: no charge of £4.99 for delivery then.
