Yes very good company, this is my 3rd phone from them and each time they have honoured the deal.
I signed up middle of May and got my PS3 delivered middle of June, just waiting for my automatic cashback after 90 days.

Just make sure you cancel the insurance and gadget support line before the 30 day free trial ends if you do not intend keeping it.

thanks for the link OP.

I was going to get this offer from e2save but then saw your which has an extra samsung b100 - so i got a better deal.

voted hot.

OSPS partof Carphonewarehouse and had no probs with cashback. Still a few months off my next deal so hope it is around.

The phones from CPW are unlocked so this should be...only check to make sure when ordering their phones it is new and not clearance.

Hot when you don't have the hassle of claims

Yes but that's a cashback offer, which some of us remain sceptical about after having read other people's posts. I'd rather stick with a normal contract and get a PS3 without the hassle and uncertainty of cashback claims.
#15

Yes it is, wheres the freebies in that deal?!?!?!?
#16
IWannaBeAdored

yer it is ps3+£20 or £360 by redemption ( all the messing about ya have to do.) whatst he base rate of a ps3 £260 poss so ya geting £280 worth of stuff and possibly quidco. so ya saving loads of time and waiting for cashback for £80 extra. i would rather have the stuff up front. this is better than borrowing the money on a credit card to get a ps3 when ya work out the deal it works out really well

£28.33 x 12 = £339.96
- phone cost (B100+credit £15ish, nokia £60) = £264.96
- AUTO cashback £20 = £244.96

ps3 cost £244.96

possible minus quidco (£37.50). === £207.46 for a ps3 bargain and no messing about sending bills off.

You get everything apart from the PS3 for £35.88 for 12 months after cashback.

So in essence, you are paying well over £300 for a PS3 even with the auto £40 cashback.
#18

I very much doubt it....

Yes it is, wheres the freebies in that deal?!?!?!?

lol.. theres no such thing as freebies... your merely paying over the odds for the basic package you are getting to cover the cost of the PS3.....

Ive just got the 6300 on the same rarriff, for £35 pm with £280 auto cashiback.. so after 90 days I autmaitcally get the money (from carphone warehouse.. a reputable retialer, and one I have had successfull cashbacks with for 3 years now)... Working out at just under £12 pm.. then £36.50 quidco.. and as I have a phone already, I just wanted the contract, I can sell on ebay for around £70.. menaing the total cost of ownership of the phone over the year should be about £40 ish...

Which means I could nearly buy 2 ps3's....!!
#19
Exactly..
And this deal is a bit low on mins and texts....
so its likely that you will spend extra each month too (unless you spend all month playing a PS3 and have no mates or family)

I assume that was a retention deal that you got DrHotUk?
#20
S**T, really sorry I had a pop-up on my screen so I clicked to get rid of it and clicked the "expired" link by mistake.... really sorry!!!:oops:

this isn't a hot deal - i got more for my money in an orange contract and also the free console and free phone which was a lot better!
#22

Unforutnately no, the best retention deal I got offered with TMobile was £15 for 300 mins and 300 texts. .without a new phone... they woul dnot give me a better deal...

The info I gave was for a new deal with e2save...

Thanks.. I will keep my eyes open. I couldnt find anything comparable when I looked earlier. E2Save are not keen on automatic cashback :(
My last 2 E2Save cashback deals have gone through fine..but I would rather just pay a fraction more and not have to worry about it this time round.
#24
This is awesome!

I took the Nokia 6300 with the free PS3 deal. The week before it had the £40 autocashback but I missed that! So this is excellent!

The 6300 will probably be unlocked and can be traded in to CEX for £82 credit which lets you buy some PS3 games.

I ordered on the 23rd May and got my PS3 yesterday 18th so expect delivery in around 24-28 days.

Hot deal!

**Correction** Should have checked the link first! I bought from e2save. Part of CPW so would have more faith in them. Still, if they ship the PS3 after 28 days doesn't matter if they go belly up after that!

Now unexpired.

Remember, if you don't want a free PS3 and don't mind cashback deals, you can get the Nokia 6300 (or choice of another phone) and the free PAYG Samsung B100 with 12 months free line rental on a 12 month contract, and possible profit after QuidCo.

This is basically the equivalent of that except you're buying a £360 PS3 with the cashback.

Good find, OP. They're good alternatives depending on what people are after.

OSPS is also part of the CPW group. :)
#27
Avoid OSPS like the plague! They never honour cahsback and lose the bills you send them. Stay clear at all costs!
#28
I got my auto-cashback from OSPS after 30 days and my PS3 arrived about a week after that, so pretty sharp. I also got a copy of Ratchet and Clank an Stealth Blu ray with it which was nice.

Same here, nice suprise to find a game and Blu ray disc, I had already bought 2 games expecting there to be nothing extra in the box except the PS3 and controller.

Best thing about this deal is that within a few months you have all the cashback and the free gift, so if anything happens to the company after that time you are ok, also no need to keep hold of bills and have to send them off within a certain time frame recorded delivery, been there done that and even though I got paid out it was that bit of hassle having to remember.
Now I can play my PS3 and pay it off monthly instead of going out and stumping up £300 for one.

Exactly the way I saw it, even if I'm not saving a huge deal of money, the extra £15-20 per month on the contract is just like paying up the PS3.

After hearing all the horror stories, I can say I am perfectly happy with OSPS.

Was all set to go for this and then o2 came up with a rentenion offer that is quite tempting (I know it was bound to happen), so am torn between the following two deals, assuming my maths is correct ? :

This deal
12 Months
£30 (100 mins + 300 texts) = £360
-
Sell the two phones for about £100
£60 in cashback (quidco + auto cashback)

Therefore PS3 + Phone contract = £200 (seems good to me ?)

o2 deal :
18 Months
£80 for the entire term (200 mins + 400 texts)

I think I'm leaning towards the o2 one as it's less hassle and £4.44 per month seems quite good, but can't deny i was looking forward to a shiny new toy ! :)

go for the ps3 it will be more fun in the long run and its only 12months. i know its alot more but ya getting an ace item for 12months and paying for it monthly.

the 02 one would be £80+ps3 cost = £250+
#34
350 x network mins & 200 text per month for £35. That's not that great.
#35
And if you want a cheap broadband package, O2 are good. As they gave me £5 for being on O2 pay £7.50 a month.

Yes, I think this is their standard deal as i phoned a 2nd time to get my PAC code after having thought about it and then deciding I fancied a PS3 after all, this time they offered me 400 mins and 1000 texts (or unlimited can't quite remember which = the same to me !), I did try to stress to the very nice sales lady that there really wasn't any point in the extra minutes and texts as my average is around 75 mins and 250 texts thus the extra would have been of no use, alas she pressed on any, I also reminded her I'd been offered the previous deal of 200 mins 400 texts and it was then that she cleared things up and said basically they give you £15 a month off of which ever tarrif you choose and then a further credit of £100, providing you sign for 18 months, hence my first deal was a £25 tariff which resulted in a £80 deficit over the 18 months, however this time the the 2nd offer was on a £30 tariff which would have only cost me £120 over the 18 months so I guess I must have been given a £150 credit on that one !!!..... I will concede that I stopped paying too much attention as I really wasn't interested in the extra minutes and texts.

However I guess all of this may be of interest to current o2 customers who are looking to renew.

Looks like it, although you can get exactly the same deal minus the cheap PAYG Samsung, so still not a bad deal.
