This deals been out for a few weeks. It's a cracker IMO.

You won't get anything that comes close to this for £20 a month. On the Internet Texter plan you will get:

-A free Nokia E71 blackberry style phone
-200 any network mins
-Unlimited 3 to 3 mins
-Free Skype calls
-Unlimited texts
-Unlimited internet
-18 month contract

Unfortunately only for new customers. But you can always try calling retentions to see whether they match it.

Possibly 47.50 quidco as it's te £20 plan. Though don't know whether they differentiate between Texter and Internet Texter.

i just bought one for my girlfriend.. quidco tracked at 47.50 and also went through Refer a friend for £30 each.. also talked to the chat reps who were throwing these £20 accessory vouchers at you.

All in all... £127 worth of perks to be picked up on top of the £20 per month.

Refer a friend link is:

http://threestore.three.co.uk/default.aspx?RAF=1

Clear your cookies, Log into Quidco, then click on 3 website to earn quidco. In the same window as the 3 website, copy and paste the link above. Proceed as normal to complete transaction. On step 2 of checkout, enter your referrer's phone number to get £30 credit on your bill.

this phone is a a Symbian S60 .. it has built in GPS receiver and can use all the nifty apps like google maps or the built in nokia maps for navigation.

very tempting

I'm on 3 now and have been debating weather to change this for the net as I like face book but am unsure weather i'll get charged for it! I know I should just go in and ask about it! lol I personally think its a good deal aswell thanks
#4
I'm on 3 .. with the £5 internet plan and use FB all the time with this phone. ;) Don't pay a penny for it. A shame i'm an existing customer and they won't let me have this.
#5
I'll vote cold on this one. 3 deals are very tempting but I have been with them nearly 18 months and am now going back to my old network. The network coverage terrible and the answerphone messages do not arrive very quickly.

And Skype ...........forget about it! never wants to sign in, wherever you call 3 they tell you to turn off and on the phone and this never works.
#6
Don't forget 'recommend a friend' as well. Find someone else with Three and both get £30 off your bills! Easy and quick to do, anyone needs me to recommend them, just ask!
#7
that really annoying when your an existing costomer they should offewr you it first!

What makes you say that? - I'm on three (was on the 12 quid promotional tariff - Mix and Match 100) and upgraded to this about a month ago. Very nice phone, one or two issues with it, but I've worked a way round them.

You're wrong, 3 are notoriously bad when it comes to network coverage, its why they can offer such low prices. From experience Vodafone and o2 are fantastic when it comes to coverage and quality.

Voted cold simply becuase Three have the worst customer service, reception and contract terms.

I use 3's skype to call family at the other end of the country, can break up at times but when it aint costing owt cant really moan.

Never had much issues with network signal, so suppose lucky to be in good coverage area.

I also use their mobile broadband, which I think is great. As its only costing £7.02 a month for 5 GB, of which I normally only use about 3 - 4 GB.

Hot frm me.

good deal heat added --- been with 3 now for 15 months --- sure there are black spots but dont all networks -- as for customer services they are very polite and even sometimes helpful --- my nokia has just packed in and bought a cheap payg to tid me over --- will renew with them as I cant complain.

I am on 300 m&m £15 a month though with instant cashback from e2save and quidco it came down to £10 a month. At renewal if 3 wont do for £10 a month i will cancel and get a new contract with them through cashback sites. They are really not that bad ....
#13
can three payg users recommend some one?

i am an existing customer and they offered me nokia e71 for £24.75 with 700 min (mix n match), unlimited internet, 300 three to three min, skype and 70 video min.
i am still within 14 days guarantee and do not know whether to accept this or not.

any thoughts

thanks
#15
The only question that you need to ask yourself is " is 300 cross network mins enough for you" ?

edit : sorry, i meant 200 mins

Yes - if you're an existing customer, the 14 day guarantee doesn't apply. Iirc.

Even if you upgrade, you are still entitled to 14 days to change your mind and revert to your old plan. This is subject to you not using the phone or the sim.

prasadjothu - I'm in a similar situation to you. I've upgrade to E71 on Mix'n'Match 300 with internet for £17.69. But not sure if thats really a good deal or not. I guess the only advantage of the Mix and Match over texter plans is that its costs 12p per minute xnet whilst texter is 25p. So depends on which you use more, text or minute?

Very tempting deal. My 6 month contract with them is up next month and this phone has some pretty solid reviews to. Also worked out if you refer a friend and get £30 and go through quidco for a potential £47.50 that would make the overall 18 month contract £282.50 which means it could possibly be only £15.69 a month, which is a great price for what your getting.

I travel the South West all day so are you telling people to avoid 3 if they live in this area?

If you do go through refer a friend, you need a separate link.. talk to the online chat reps who will give you this link. I can't remember what it is now, but it had something like RAF=1 at the end of the link. Otherwise, you will not have a means to enter your mates number on the personal details page.

Cracker..

I tried the refer a friend with quidco last year online and quidco was declined as it could not be used in conjunction with another promotion. Decide which is worth more to you £30 refer a friend or £47.50 quidco. I've used refer a friend for broadband and received £15 in both accounts under my name. Although theoretically it shouldn't be allowed according to their T&C's.

wifi? when you can't get 3 to work on the net pmsl

I am with 3 and i am comming upto the end of my contract, i went into my local 3 shop and was offered this deal, but i am not sure if i like this phone
#24
My contract was up for renewal. I asked for this phone and price plan and they gave it to me no questions asked. Brilliant phone, the unlimited internet is a lifesaver. The Nokia maps application is quite nifty but tends to take you down some weird roads.
All in all this is a cracking deal, however it's been around for over a month!

There are a couple of issues with the phone - I like mine, and on the whole am happy. However, I've needed to use an NTP client on mine, as if you have a recurring alarm, it loses days at the weekend...

3 can get signal on the London Underground so can't be that bad. Would take it anyday over my pisspoor Voda contract. Doesn't even cover a lot of city centres, never mind the countryside. The only place I can reliably receive calls is in my house. It's pathetic.

If I was closer to the end of my contract I would take this out now and have the phone to use when I go somewhere I don't need my HTC Touch Pro.

Does anyone know how this phone compares to Blackberry Curve?
#29
Can anyone answer this one? :?

I took out the e71 on a 3 contract back in January. I was originally on talk and text 300 (or whatever its called) whereby i get 300 units to use on calls or texts. After a while i increased my tariff to 500 units for roughly an extra £5 (i think).

Can I go back to the lower original tariff if i wanted to (i.e. two or three months down the line)? I know most networks wont let your change your tariff to a lower one (than what you started with) until the six month at the earliest.

I think the phone is awesome by the way!

I've had this phone since last August. Great phone, lasts 2 days+ on battery, although I'm sure having skype permanently on in the background would decrease this, have push email from mail2web (although they're changing this soon), takes goodish pictures, and the network coverage is on par or better than my Orange contract in North London.

I am tied into an 18 month contract with 3 (6 months left). They said I would have 90% coverage for my area. What rubbish the singal is patheticaly bad. I miss about 60% of incomming calls and have to try all round the house and garden to make a call. I am always on to customer sevices who reset settings and tell you to switch off your phone for several minutes. I have now stopped paying and they have cut me off and theatened count action.
I have no problem with the singnal from o2 and vodafone network.
No wonder they were on Watchdog a few months ago.

I'm also not happy with three' coverage & service. Like somebody said before voicmail messages take ages to arrive as do sms messages, on a number of occasions I have text somebody telling them I will there in half an hour etc & have actually been with them by the time they have recieved it. On top of that the coverage is shockingly bad.
As soon as my contract is up i'm off.
#34
The build quality on this handset is really nice and if you live an area where you can get good Three coverage then this is a smashing deal!
#35
Does anyone know if you can use this sim in a usb 3 dongle. Thanks

Where I live, Vodafone is rubbish - 3, O2, and Orange are OK, and T-Mob is not brilliant. We don't really have any problems with 3 - even when we've been on holiday in places like Orkney...

I have mixed feelings about this deal. One thing for certain is 3 are crap. They have the worst possible customer service ever, they are a cheating bunch of indian thieves (im asian btw) on cs. I hate them so much. The contract I have with them is a long story (renewed once) , i was meant to cancel it but they sent me a new phone without my permission and then they refused to take it back as I had opened it and ****. Trust me with this as a main factor as well as the crappy reception which goes funny even in central london, when indoors, i urge anyone considering to reconsider and try other networks, i would if money wasnt an issue. Obviously the only reason to choose 3 is they're cheaper slightly. Every other network ive been with have good customer service; i think this attribute of a phone network, i.e. having good customer service, will only matter to you once you have something to phone them about. This is just my experiance of them intentionally ripping me off, i assume their customer service assistants work on a commision basis so they tell lies and crap so long as they get their customers.

The reason I have mixed feelings, is on the deal at hand, i really want this phone and will see if my current £12pm contract can get an upgrade. So i wont vote on the deal.

Seriously, 3 is hell, all the mates i have who are on 3 complain about one thing or another. STAY AWAY!!!

3 aren't an indian company so thats a stupid thing to say, fair enough the call centers are in india but the company isnt indian

Does anyone know how this phone compares to Blackberry Curve?

After having an extensive play with an E63 (wife has one on contract), I'd say it's a good phone that feels solid to use, I was going to get the E71 deal until I saw that 3 now have a Blackberry Bold on offer of which I'm very tempted to get.
