Horses for courses and definately not android era...Love my N8 to bits esp the cracking 12 Meg camera but got similar deal for our two N8's in Vodaphone shop

Just deciding whether to get this or a HTC Desire / Galaxy S. The use of sat nav in offline mode is great when travelling abroad as is the FM transmitter given my lack of CD changer / Mp3 player in the car.... Are there many android apps worth losing this for?

i have this phone and i hate it, have nothing but trouble with it, it cuts out mid call, has connection issues, sends textx to the wrong people even if i check the recipient and its right it ends up going astray. its a nightmare

Mine works fine so you must have a faulty handset

I wouldnt let the experience of one person put anyone off as its a great phone

true. Every phone I have ever owned has been loved and hated pretty much equally by the public! Its all down to preference and good/bad experiences, and a lot of the time - the user! (or misuser).

why is this so cold?

Probably because the OVI store is so bad. But if you dont use gimicky apps, which i never bother with, then this seems like an excellent phone and not bad price. although i hate 24mth contracts.
