My first proper deal, so be gentle! This deal comes in either 12 Months or 18 Months, but the one I've gone for is the 12 Month one.

Free N95

6 Months Half Price = £105

6 Months Full Price = £210

TOTAL = £315 for the year

...add £35 of Quidco onto that and you could get it down to £280!

This is definately the best deal I've seen anywhere for the N95, most deals for the N95 (where the N95 is free) start off at £30 per month (£360 per year) and are only available on 18 Month Contracts. The cheapest O2 12 Month contract (where the phone is free) costs £35 a month which is £420 over the course of the year.

Can I just add that Quidco has tracked at £50! Not the £35 I was expecting, so it now should be £265 for a years use! - Hilly_2006

Sorry....

Forgot to mention that it has 300 inclusive minutes and 400 inclusive texts.
#2
Can I also just say that Quidco has tracked at £50!!! Not the £35 I was expecting...

So it's now down to £265 for a year!
#3
Do you have to take the itemised billing, if not and you scrap it, can this invalidate your claim for cashback
#4
Send your 6th, 8th, 10th and 12th monthly bills within 60 days of the date stated on the relevant airtime bill, to us and we will credit you by cheque with £26.25 (month 6), £26.25 (month 8), £26.25 (month 10) and £26.25 (month 12)

It's a nice deal but phones4u really take the pee there. It's only £105 quid for goodness sakes! Yet you have to make four claims! That's an extra £5 or so onto the price to pay for all the recorded post and some man hour cost to be asked to send in four claims for such a measely amount.

Nokia N95 handsets supplied by Orange and Vodafone in the UK have the VoIP facility missing from the phone to the annoyance of many users. Vodafone's reason for removing the facility was that it "doesn't believe it's a mature technology"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N95

Annoying! Anyway to get around this for those who'd like to use truphone?

this looks interesting
#6
Sorry to post again but can the phone be delievered to a store? I'm not on the electorol roll at my current address and am worried I will fail the credit check.
#7
Ah another post, I'm sorry! but I just have to add that this is £20 to unlock. The only way to unlock it is to phone orange.

http://www.3g.co.uk/3GForum/showthread.php?t=56280

I don't think the orange internet service is much good, three is much better but if you buy the n95 on three they won't let you unlock it until the last month of your contract!

If you have a three contract I believe this phone is an x-series phone so should be able to browse the net for free.
#8
I got this phone as a free upgrade this week.
With vodafone and only paying £25 pcm, but had to sign an 18mnth contract :(
The phone is awesome, highly recommended to all !

You can also unlock the phone at any time using a program called 'Nemesis Service Suite' although that will void your warranty.

If you do unlock it, programs such as truphone run flawlessly.
#10
good deal sometime orange used to give free credit of £100 also.
#11
Hmm to be honest if it voids the warrenty, it's probably best to pay the £20.

good deal sometime orange used to give free credit of £100 also.

I'm confused.

NSS does not unlock the phone it just allows you to remove the orange firmware then upgrade and install the generic firmware from nokia thus allowing you to use VOIP etc.

It is true that the Orange version of the N95 comes with some features disabled, however 'debranding' the phone is a simple procedure:

Just follow the steps made here:

I wouldn't say you'd have to go through all that trouble! Just pop a photocopy of your contract in the post as usual with a cheap stamp on...
#14
I had this deal last week. My quidco tracked at £35.
Although I haven't checked out all its features yet (since I'm using an old O2 sim card), its seems to be an excellent phone!
However, like someone else said: the cashback is pretty poor.
Also, the tariff isn't that great when compared to the new O2 ones - although you don't get a new N95 with those ones!
I may even return my deal and upgrade to the 18 month contract - seems like a better deal overall.
#15
Ordered. Contract number 7! ouch! However, five of my contracts end within the next two months so doesn't seem so bad. Feels very strange to think that I might have seven mobile phone contracts on the go at once.

I must say this is a fantastic deal and will be particularly sweet if you unlock it and combine with a contract from three mkaing use of x-series.

I just hope I pass the credit check, however one of my other contracts is orange. Is this likely to make it easier, I'm aware having 6 other contracts may count against me even if they end in under two months.

hmm well. I sound like I'm boasting here lol but I've had loads of contracts and I must admit royal mail has been ok BUT they have let me down even with recorded delivery, I posted a claim from europe as I was overseas at the time (I'd forgotten about a claim) and it got stuck in london!
#17
It will be a cold day in Hell before I have another Orange contract! Just running down my last few months and then I'm off back to O2.

Good deal apart from that though!
#18
ah no not o2. I hate that network!

You have to ring up customer services just to check your minutes and sometimes they can't even tell you! I've lost count of the amount of money I've lost through this.

They gave me a **** customer services number initially which came out of my minutes when I called it!

I've been with, virgin, o2, orange and three. And amazingly, I'd say three have been the best network for me by far if you can get past the indian customer services.

I know a lot of people have problems with them and initially they weren't that great (I've been with them since 2003) but I've never had a problem with them. I loved the way I used to be able to read the news on my phone for nothing, in the old days that seemed like such a cool feature.

This phone better be good! It will be the first phone I've actually paid money for.

I would combine this with say the u600 three deal posted here about a week ago. Get that deal, sell the phone and unlock this phone. Then you have two contracts, one for 18months 300mins,1000texts for about £190 and the other about £280.

That's 600mins, 1300 texts, x-series, video calling, game downloads etc with the n95 + another 6 months at 300mins and 1000texts for about £480.

if u got 2 ur local phones4u store u can get a contract 4 £30 a month with a
free N95. but it is cash back so u would have 2 pay £40 a month extra but u get the £40 back again

Never had any problems with o2. Used to have a Vodafone cotract but the final straw came when I was visiting a mate in Newbury where they have their world headquarters...and I couldn't get a signal...not good!

Sounds ok but it will probably be an 18 month contract. ie £540 and by what you're saying a £1260 outlay?man that's alot. It must be a 12 month contract then. Still a lot of money to pay out, and it will only be £10 cheaper than this deal before quidco, that's even before you claim the £105 cashback.

I'm sure other people don't have problems with o2, but those two things I've mentioned are just unacceptable.
#22
I'm with O2 at the minute, hence why I found this deal.

I've rang retentions 5 or 6 times and the best they're willing to give me is the same as a new customer, not good enough I'm afraid.

The best O2 would offer me after 5 years of loyal service is £30 p/m - 18 Month Contract - N95 for free (the same as what a new customer would get)....I would of thought they could of at least offer me the same deal as a 12 month contract, but they wouldn't.

So they're more willing to lose me as a customer completely, than drop 6 months off my contract. It simply doesn't make any sense.
#23
Yes it's pretty crazy. Bear in mind though this is a clearence deal. Not sure what that means about the quality of the handset.

Don't worry, theres no difference. If it was refurbished etc... it would of been sold as such.

In my experience you have to play hardball to get a good deal. Just tell them you have found a deal for £15 per month with 500 mins and 250 texts and unless they can match it your off. Thats what I did and they matched it :-D
#27
You got £15/month with an n95 for 18 months? You must have been spending a fortune with them.

I played hardball 6 times!

Firstly I started saying that I had received an offer from Orange for a certain price (I didn't but I know of someone else who had), they couldn't match it so I requested my PAC Code.

Secondly, I started from scratch and I rang asking what was the best they could do for me, again...not good.

I rang again quoting an offer I found online but they said they only match deals direct from Orange, T-Mobile etc... not companies like Phones4U, Carphone Warehouse etc...

I read an offer online from someone in EXACTLY the same situation as me and they couldn't do it.

The best offer in all the phone calls I made was that of a new customer, I said it wasn't good enough and they quite happily gave me my PAC Code.

Credit check passed! yay. Phone has already been dispatched that was quick and quidco has tracked. Couldn't be much better really. Thanks!

Do you think this deal will be available in a months time?

I highly doubt it.

I was worried enough leaving it over night just so I could phone O2 and tell them the deal I had found to see if they could match it. I bought it there and then.

because I rang them and asked.
