This phone is dire...I've got one, and had to get a Nokia 2310 to replace this....Screen is too small, menus are annoying, battery life poor, call quality poor, non-standard charge...avoid.
#3
It comes up with £7.95 for recon stock
#5
you will be charged full price and lose quidco as you will have to call them up.

This phone is useful for one thing only - making phone calls! It will support text, but is practically unusable due to the limited number of characters displayed on the screen and no predictive text support. I bought one on the last offer as an emergency phone for my elderly mother. She loves it - long battery life, large easy to read display, large buttons. It's also very thin and light, and dust/moisture proof. If you want an emergency phone then can highly recommend, for anything else keep well clear! Don't know why some people have claimed problems getting it to work - from switching on for the first time to setting date/time & ring tone takes less than a minute and it gives voice commands (in English) to help along the way.

Oh and don't forget this comes with £5 cash back from Quidco.

phones4u do the same phone for £4.95 (when you buy £10 airtime with virgin) and if you go via quidco, you should get £10 cashback. Link below....

http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_payg_details.asp?ItemKey=164685&MPItemKey=162159

I would be interested to know if anyone has actually purchased this one via quidco and if they had any problems. I have a contract phone but I am looking for an emergency phone so not bothered by the rubbish spec!

...cezne, its cheaper at carphone warehouse? :)

Andy i've called carphone warehouse customer services. they said that they're aware of an issue with their website where if you buy 2 phones at a time it charges you £20 for airtime instead of £10 - they WILL repay this automatically however.

I've been promised that if you buy each phone seperately that there are NO payment issues

Hopefully this will get me a few clicks on my reputation button ;) lol

I bought one via Quidco from CPW on similar deal just before Christmas. Charged correctly £0 for phone, £10 for Orange SIM credit, and tracked within hours on Quidco at £5. No problems.

Seems some people who bought 2 in one transaction had problems being charged £40 instead of £20.

not according to people who purchased befor and cpw never fix bugs. they just seem to take the money and then wait 14days or more to do anything. they always mess people about. its best going with one of there sister comopanies and paying that bit extra but not been messed about.

This is great for us - Thanks!! We're all on the virgin network so can use the airtime vouchers then sell the phones!

AHA!! I purchased two phones and was charged £20 airtime for each phone. I know I didn't cock-up and this was never explained to me by CPW.....no wonder they were so accommodating when I reported the matter.

i've looked at the previous f3 post - all the complaints came from people that bought 2 in one go :)

[QUOTE=samuraibush]...cezne, its cheaper at carphone warehouse? :)

Sorry, perhaps I didn't explain myself properly.
Firstly, I had read the negative comments about carphone warehouse about charging incorrectly and so offered this as an alternative.

Secondly, if you use quidco, both deals work out the same......

Carphone Warehouse - phone=free, add £10 airtime, take away £5 (if purchased through quidco) = £5 to pay.

Phones4u - phone=£4.95, add £10 airtime, take away £10 (if purchased through quidco) = £4.95
(....so actually slightly cheaper, but whos going to argue over 5p!!!!)

Phones4U use locked stock though....it'll cost you at least a tenner to unlock an F3.

phones4u dont use locked stock. i have had loads of phones from them all unlocked

i have had a couple of f3 and sold on and never been locked.

the are the same as cpw they have loads of phones on all different networks why would they lock them.
#18
does anyone know if the phone is unlocked and work with vodaphone as need a cheap phone for work. Thanks
#19
they have been unlocked when i have purchased them from phones4u defo i have had 4 now from them and had 2 from e2save which is a carphonewarehouse sister companie. so most likely yes you will be able to us your vodafone sim in it

most Phones4U stock is locked. Perhaps their F3's are not then, I have always bought them from carphone warehouse as they're the cheapest.

I guarantee you if you go into their store and ask to buy a high selling phone e.g. K800i it will 9 times out of 10 be locked.
#21
thats instore it may be different but i have had all brands from phones4u online and all unlocked.

i ordered a f3 from carphone as im not woried about if they take to much as i will ask for sompensation.
they have reserved £10.01 from my account and quidco hasnt tracked yet.

Ordered at 2:30 anyone had quidco track yet. i have had this email starting with so far will there be another to say they have taken payment or it has been put in the post?

The F3 I had last week from CPW was unlocked.

Just got an email stating
Order: 2 x Motorola F3 Blue Virgin Mobile £.00
2 x £10 airtime credit £10.00
2 x £10 airtime credit £10.00

Total: £40.00

Phoned them up to complain & they said yes that's the correct price!! I told him no it isn't as i got an original order confirmation for £10 airtime for each phone so total said £20. I am now waiting for a manager to phone me back!! How annoying!!:x

Just put my O2 sim into the supposed Orange mobile and it worked OK. Have to presume that all the phones are unlocked.

No stock left on virgin network. o well

still only £10.01 reserved from my account.

the 1p must be the initial check on the account and the £10 for the item.

i asume this as i havent purchased anything on my card for a while.
#29
Might get one of these to scrape the ice off my windscreen as its getting cold now ,other than that i cant think of a good use for the piece of excrement ! :whistling:

was going to sell mine and keep the top up but think this is an ace idea. cant see it being good for anything else other than throwing at someone instead of a house brick.

Phoned again about 6pm and was put through to 3 different people before they told me the department i needed shuts at 6 and to call back tomorrow! Then tried to get me to sign up to their landline package even though i told the guy i wasn't interested he still carried on trying to get me to sign up!!
#32
lol i love a good argument with a manager. which is what will probably happen with you.

Anyone had Quidco Track Yet. Anyone Who Purchased
#33
No, quidco hasn't tracked for me yet.
#34
quidco still not tracked and i think they have sent mine in the post today. this isnt like quidco usually tracks in a couple of hours with carphone.
#35
Phoned again, spoke to a nice lady who told me that the revelavant department will either phone or email me today as she can see there was a problem with what i was charged to say I have been refunded £20. Let's hope they do this time!! Also she said it wouldn't be a problem seeing as i phoned within 24 hours so if anyone else has been overcharged i'd get on to them pretty quickly...
#36
still no quidco track?
whats the last email you get from cpw to say that its been sent etc.
i have the one saying: It will shortly be dispatched from our warehouse.
#37
not tracked yet, last message was this at 16.48 yesterday:
